Actually it is not as stupid as most of what she says. Why do men have nipples? They obviously never develop so why even have them at all.
Why are their mosquitoes or lice?
Hey I read about this in the book all the things you want to know about but would never ask. I think it said because we as babies in the womb start out as female, and it’s the release of progesterone that distinguishes the male and female. So it’s just left over from the days where your body’s form didn’t represent your sex, just your DNA.

‘Cause, in the womb...at a certain stage....we’re all androgenous. Then, testosterone washes over the brain....then, voila. I think that’s how the story goes. Don’t quote me on that. ;)
My Uncle had a funny. When asked if his wife had given birth to a boy, he said, “No. God got a broomstick and poked it back in.” ;)
Because it would look stupid if they just had a nipple. So it is for appearance balance.
On the other hand, if it is sex-determined and not essential to males, males may eventually evolve into a form where they have no nipples - it just hasn't happened yet.
They develop before the sex is really formed so men and women have them.
You know how GM and other car makers use common frames for different models?
You think they came up with that original design?
No.
Until the chromosomes kick in to make what is meant to be, the human embryo can go either way. From an efficiency of design perspective: make common parts and modify from there. Eggs become testes, nipples with or without mammary glands. The male package is the inverse of the female one.
Simplicity of design; not hard to understand at all. Well, unless you're a Hollywierd starlet with bigger boobs than brains. Not that we should hold that against her.
