I am a Biologist who knows and understands the subject, so I do know what I am talking about. If I am incorrect on any point please provide correction.

Well, that's refreshing.

Uh...maybe not as much as you think. You might want to do a little more research and get back to me. Oh, and you don’t capitalize “biologist,” unless that’s your name.

So you cannot point to any particular instance of where I was incorrect.

“Actually...it has. It’s because we all start off as women.”

Is absolutely incorrect. I wouldn’t call something that has both sexual organs a woman, you might, but you would be wrong. We start out with the potential to form both.

The point where you were incorrect was where you said that embryos start off as hermaphrodites. The idea that embryos have two sets of sex organs is silly. (The definition of hermaphrodite, in case you were wondering.) The sperm is what determines sex. On the onset of conceiving the fetus is either male, or female. This can be tested through DNA. Developmentally all fetuses must go through the same process, which is why males have nipples (they are developed before other sexual organs). It is the testosterone (at about week 10) which gives male fetuses their traits.

At the onset of conception the fetus most probably has either two X chromosomes or one X and one Y. But there are also those with just one X, those with X and a Y, those with two X's and a Y, and those with one X and two Y's; there are those who develop as female due to a missing or mutated factor on the Y or due to a mutation in the receptor for testosterone.

A fetus develops with the ability to develop EITHER sexual organs from either Wolffian bodies or the Müllerian Ducts
depending upon hormone level.

Which is TOTALLY NOT the same as saying that “we start out hermaphrodite with both sets of undeveloped sexual organs.” Which is just wrong and stupid.

You have several choices here. Keep on pretending that you are right and make a bigger fool of yourself. Simply admit that you are wrong and save some modicum of face. Or just go away. Having annihilated my opponent I will be wasting no more time with you. Thanks for playing.

Wow. First you say we all start out development as female, then you go with that it depends upon the X and Y chromosomes. Change your story much?

We do start out as hermaphrodites with both sets of undeveloped sexual organs. The Wolffarian and Mullerian (sp?) ducts are the progenitors of either female or male sexual organs and the early fetus has BOTH.

Having annihilated your own argument and your credibility there is obviously nothing left for you to do but declare victory. How amusing.

Is that what passes for a reasoned rebuttal in the circles you frequent?

A fetus has both Wolffarian and Mullerian ducts that can develop as either male or female sexual organs depending upon hormone levels.

You may want to claim that something that has the rudiments of male genitalia is ‘developing as a female’ (the Eddie Murphy defense?) but then again you would be wrong.
