Seismicity has declined greatly over the past 90 minutes, although activity is still well above normal background levels.
Clouds continue to obscure the webcam view, and the sun will be setting soon. AVO continues to observe potential activity with satellite and radar data.
An AVO observation flight this afternoon reported no sign of ash emission, but observed significant steaming from a new melt depression at the mouth of the summit crater near the vent area of the 1989-90 eruption.

I hope Governor Palin is staying on top of this. I imagine she is. The NY Slime, Slime, Newsweak and the National Enquirer are stocking up on arrows and heading to Alaska. I imagine the “global warming” goobers will blame this eruption on her and President Bush.

I'm 600 miles on the otherside of Anch, so redoubt is like 700 miles away. last time, we had ash clear up here along the Canadian border; just real fine. You'd see a layer of snow, thin layer of ash, more snow, layer ash. ect.
I imagine the valley & anch will get it.

Governor Palin,
I would like to suggest you satisfy the Gods of the Media and Liberal moonbats and sacrafice them to the Redoubt Volcano.
God Bless you and your family too, Global 2010 and King Vanity
