The worm cannot live in any other way, except by burrowing through eyeballs. I find that hard to reconcile with the notion of a divine and benevolent creator."

Same as the bubonic plague, in fact ANY illness or disease. If people would actually READ the Bible, rather than sit hoity-toity & pass ignorant judgement, they would KNOW what the answers to these easy questions are.

(A) - who ever said God was "benevolent". HE made YOU. Don't YOU apply labels to HIM that you think he ought have.

(B) - what do you know about "divine"? You use the term like it means "lovely". It DOESN'T mean lovely. READ the Bible, and get some idea of WHAT divine actually MEANS.

(C) - Man is CURSED. Man is living in a SPIRITUAL reality, and our corporeal existance is merely a shadow of that reality. These illnesses and afflictions are part of that CURSE. We must be REDEEMED from that curse. God has provided a means through which we can BE redeemed from the curse. God says that he curses a few generations of those who hate him, but blesses HUNDREDS of generations of those who love him. That is why Christian nations are doing well. Even in Africa, the Christians do better. This is from the blessing of God. But we are in a lot of TROUBLE, because we are starting to become like SODOM, and the blessing of God might be LIFTED from us. That would be BAD.

For more information, consult your BIBLE.

Exactly. Evo-atheists like Attenborough don’t want to know what God said, so they invent a fairy-tale to make their sins easier to bear.

This guy is in his 80’s though, so he’ll find out just how wrong he was soon enough. He’ll wish all he had to worry about was an eye worm when his time comes.

Absolutely, in Scripture we find that God records for us precisely why we have such afflictions as the African eye worm.

He also gives us a way to escape the final curse, if we will take it.

According to Merriam-Webster, “benevolent” means “marked by or disposed to doing good.” What do YOU think “benevolent” means? Of course if you think worms that burrow through children’s eyeballs are good things, then you can still call God “benevolent.” But you’re probably right. Best to avoid any labels, since an infinite being would be more different from us than we are from a slab of rock.

It puzzles me that people insist on sticking labels based on human nature onto a creature that is supposedly infinite. Emotions such as “love,” “anger,” and “sorrow” make no sense in an infinite being who exists outside of time.

Hmmm ... I thought Gnostisism was a Christian heresy?
