I hope he stays and forces an impeachment so that the whole democratic corrupt apparatus is out there for all to see. He is not the only corrupt official in Illinois. Not by a long shot. Remember Obama got his start in Chicago politics...and you can’t grow up to power and influence in that cesspool without some of the slime coming home to roost on you!
The way Madigan is going about this almost makes me root for Blago. We all know he’s guilty from the tapes, but he still deserves a trial. She is trying to use the incapacitated law to further her own political career.
Why should he budge? After all, he is a Democrat. That ‘D’ following his name is in essence a ‘stay-out-of-jail free’ card.

As an IL resident it would be nice to get him out and start trying to put the state back together again, but on the other hand this is doing so much harm to the Donks it’s worth hoping it goes on and on. Kinda like Operation Chaos.

I got in a political argument last night with a woman who hated McCain because Dick Cheney shot a hunting buddy and then made that friend apologize to him(that was the gist of it). I told her she should try to educate herself on some of the issues instead of getting her political information from the Daily Show. She then claimed to be a news junkie. However, when I mentioned what was going on in Illinois, she had no idea what I was talking about. Is this case not all over the news? Could she really possibly have “missed” it? I suspect she’s just a mind-boggling idiot (I think I told her that a few times too— I was not on my best behaviour. Oops.).
Negotiations must be ongoing to pay him a lot more than what he would have made off the senate seat sale...after Obama’s and Emmanuel’s cuts that is.
