Read through the previous "Are you looking for a job?" threads for tips and ideas. I have gathered all the resources from them to this thread.

No, I'm not lying.
And another guy just came at me for yet another job. Had to tell him no.
I must be at the top of my game.
If there is a hyperskilled .NET guy, who’s had some financials (esp. trading) and knows anything about Dundas Charts, I can get him 50/hr by Tuesday. Must want to move to Hotlanta.
Another hey-ya-never-know ping.
Useful. Thanks. I have four jobs now but ya never know...
(Of course, all of them pay in increasingly worthless dollars...)
Interesting...
>>>Another hey-ya-never-know ping.
How ‘bout a “One should always have an eye open to opportunity” ping?
Bump.
Nice post. How’d you know what I was doing today?
You-da-man!
Linked-in is very powerful. After you enter in people you know, there is a job search that can be ranked by your connections to that company. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

I hope you find just the job you’ve been looking for.
Isn’t there a video that shows you how to .netchart? I think I’ve read about it.
My sister was at www.careerbuilders.com They are still sending me offers.
By the way, I’ve had a couple of phone calls to me from people looking for engineers:
They need a gas turbine specialist in the mid-US at around 100,000.00
Couple of places need a power plant configuration manager, or power plant design manager, at around 90,000.00 - 110,000.00+
WHAT recession??!?
Bookmarking for myself, ‘cause one never knows, and for a friend who needs it right now ... and fyi, the world is slowly and surely returning to balance, at least my little corner of it.
Can I borrow one of yours? Just for a few months.
Oh, and can you cover for me for a few months?
This thread is for primarily FReepers who are currently unemployed. FReepers generally seem to be employed if that is their goal.
My concern about the recession is for fellow citizens, not so much FReepers. I want every fellow citizen who needs a job, to have a job because I don’t want to support them.
It is as I said: That which should happen, does. :)

Thank you and yes I am looking for a second job, as I see a lot of things that I would love to buy and school is ending for me this year.(C’mon independent video store)
I will try out one of these to see if they are better than my Community College’s job search system(The Career Center) which doesn’t get updated as much as I would like but is a lot more efficient to use. I wouldn’t advise it to be included on the list, though, as one has to be a member of Palm Beach Community College and have a password and a student ID number in order to access it. So I will check on this list.
Always glad to help a fellow FReeper.
Pretty darn quick we’ll have over 100 resources! Thanks for your additions.
(Okay, that should be the lol face, not the frowny face....)
Bump!
This is the kind of resource that folks can use to get a better paying job than the one they have now.
Another.... Thanks, Red!

If you know of any companies that are "alleged" employers of illegal immigrants, please list them. It will help keep Americans working if you do.
Money is a horrible curse.
Don't hurt the Freepers!
I can control my evil urges. I’d rather be cursed with it than without it.
I think I know him. ;]
As someone caught in the democrat-engineered ecomonic downturn, I appreciate you and other Freepers who compiled this list and send us good thoughts. Your support means alot.
I’m with three agencies and have been on interviews in the last 2 weeks. I have a third one with the same company next week. I still search on my own.
Thank you for doing this.
I am praying that you find the job you need and want. I hope this resource can be a small help to you and others like you.
I am retired now but I always had the best luck finding a better job when I was already employed. I guess there’s something that employers love about hiring the competitions staff out from under them.
I need it! My last day at my job of 13 years is Tuesday.
From the looks of the responses, once again this thread was well worth the few moments it took me to post it.
Thanks bump.
Right on! That's almost as good as one job paying 12 figures!
Right on! That's almost as good as one job paying 12 figures!
LOL!
Guess it would also depend on the definition of "figure" and "decimal point."

“I need it! My last day at my job of 13 years is Tuesday.”
Mine was October 29th. I have sent over 100 resumes out for jobs in San Antonio. I am an IT Manager, IT Project Manager. I haven’t received one call back.
If anyone has taken the PMP exam, please contact me. It looks like I am going to need the certification before I get a phone call back.
Funny, been doing this for 23 years and it’s the first time I am out of work.
