Gawd, 4 years more of “it’s Bush’s fault! AGH!!!

I'd put it at more like 12 years of "Bush's fault". It'll take at least that long to undo all the damage from Bush preventing any further attacks on our country after the 9-11 attacks planned under Clinton's watch. It'll take at least that long for the socialists to weaken our country to a level where even France can look down at us, and where Michelle Obama can say, "not only am I proud of the United Socialist States of America for the first time, but the Europeans like us, they really like us."

I would like to warn people about shopping on line..we don't do it..but 2 of our credit cards were hijacked this month to the tune of about 5 grand. We are not being charged because our credit card company is very shrewd and flagged these charges and our cards and id etc was protected. We have reported this to the local pd Internet fraud dept and I also called the company whose merchandise was stolen or tried to be stolen. The company in question has a good system and tracked the IP addresses back to Ghana Africa. The fraud is coming from all over Africa, South America and the UK. So folks be very careful and be sure to check your receipts against your bill, I have called all our other card companies and are ok and have asked them to call if we get any odd looking charges.

I understand.

My IRA is sagging a bit, but I believe it may just be temporary.
If not, I’ll find something else to put my IRA in.

Garage sales and finding that “great buy” is a super duper idea.
I love finding those great finds.

I’m sorry to hear about this incident, celtic gal.

I use the online sites myself to find the deal, but I only order by phone.

I remember when a puke in Pakistan kept putting my site in “Swinging Singles.”
That was years ago...

I will check it out. My husband has an eBay account so I guess it’s about time I learned to use it.

Over the years we have accumulated quite a few survival items. We have several months worth of food staples, water storage, a generator, dual-fuel stove, firewood, etc. Just having them and knowing I could go to ground for quite awhile if necessary gives me a measure of peace. It’s good to have kids learn the basics like firestarting, fishing and hunting, cooking from scratch, basic first aid. I think it gives them confidence in themselves. Hubby went through Scouts and my daughters have had six years each of campcrafting experiences.

“Retailers pull out stops to stir Black Friday buying
Will ‘door busters’ and other deals bolster demand significantly?”

By Andria Cheng, MarketWatch
Last update: 4:47 p.m. EST Nov. 25, 2008
NEW YORK (MarketWatch)
ARTICLE SNIPPET - QUOTE:

“Retailers are discounting broader, deeper and earlier,” said Pali Capital’s Noblin. “There’s lots of good deals out there. The question is, Is it enough to stimulate consumer demand?”

The bargains and promotions, for now, are expected to drive some traffic, especially as shoppers have become much more budget-conscious and have learned to aggressively seek out deals and coupons.

I do the same..if I need to send flowers for example, I do a search on the telefloral outfits, then google the city and find the florist andthen place a call. I don’t on line shop either.

No, I don't shop on line...did twice but these Internet charges came from Ghana Africa.
The fraud folks told me most all of this kind of thing comes from Africa ( all over in Africa), South America and the UK primarily.
