A 6-year-old Arizona boy was grounded by his mother after he was hit by a police car while riding his bike, MyFOXPhoenix.com reported.
Recently released surveillance video of the Nov. 2 accident shows Jason Justice and his sister Jessica riding their bikes through an apartment complex parking lot.

Common sense mom ping
The mom definitely is not an Obama supporter.
Are you being serious or sarc? Because the 6-year kid obviously shouldn't have been riding his bicycle in a parking lot.
I don't know what the rules are regarding bike riding in that apartment complex, but here in my townhome complex a note from the office was posted on our doors in the beginning of summer vacation stating that kids were NOT to ride their bikes or scooters on the sidewalks.
My brother had a paper route and bought himself a fancy Schwinn bike with all the chrome and decoration. When our mother caught him riding it in the street (he was about 13 or 14 at the time), she grabbed the bike and carried it up all the way up the stairs into the attic. It sat there for quite a while before he was allowed to have it back.
She may not have known he was doing it. I’d lean towards that since she’s grounding him.
At least she isn’t suing the police department as too many would these days.
Common sense MOM ping!
HUH? what a scary thing........
Wise decision. That was one of the things I hated about living in apartments - no place to ride bikes but the parking lot, which were full of people driving like idiots.
“Justice said her son is grounded until he gets his bike fixed and starts wearing a helmet.”
A Mom named ‘Justice?’ LOL! Love it. My boys used to call me, ‘The Enforcer.’ Of course, they didn’t think that up on their own; they had some help from their Dad. ;)
Not sure about the ‘mandatory helmet law’ sentencing going along with his punishment, but it’s her call...
There’s an enormous state employees parking lot a block from us, perfect for bike riding on the weekends. Completely empty, gated, and regularly patrolled. Any other parking lot? Suicide by bike.
