A mountain lion is a cougar, not a “lion”.

Prices weren’t too bad a dozen years ago. I think it is out of my range now based upon my visit a few months ago, but who knows what I could find in the sale bin.

Woman needs a mule to guard the family compound.

Hippy dippy morons have ruined Sedona Healing crystals and overpriced real estate -- that, sadly, is Sedona in a nutshell.

Its a magnificent animal but its hitting a little too close to home, Hayden said. Got that right. When the cougar comes in a back yard to snatch a pet it's time to dispatch the cougar, it's lost or never had a fear of man. Fish and Game parse words but if that same cougar snatches a child it'll be because of their inaction.
Thanks for the ping, George.

Thanks. Got more javelina news for you too. Last weekend, I was out quading at the base of the Grand Wash Cliffs (Meadview, AZ). I stopped the quad to stroll around at a forest of catclaws and scared up a small herd of javelinas (including the big boar I saw a few weeks back).
Apparently, they've colonized the area, which is absolutely remarkable. Check out the range map for this species. They are a southern Arizona animal and shouldn't be anywhere near Lake Mead. Quite a treat for me.
What's next? Jaguar? Ocelot?

Oh, don’t say that!
That is my favorite series of photographs! (Well, except for the photographs of that Mississippi barge pusher boat being rolled sidesways and shoved under the highway draw bridge - only to emerge intact and still running on the other side.)
Got a link were I can read about the fake mountain lion-killing mule?

[yes, I know the photo is bogus] Are you sure about that? I remember the thread right here on FR that had this photo, and 4 or 5 others.
I know that llamas will kill coyotes, wolfs, and dogs, and have seen them do so.

Follow the link in post #18 ... if you were lead to believe that the mule killed the cougar, well...it ain’t so....or at least according to Snopes. ;)
