Just the same, I dare mysterio to go up to my husband and his Marine son and tell them that when they and fellow neighbors saw an upside-down pie plate saucer with windows in it silently travel a few hundred yards above their street of homes and then instantly "disappear" into a star....

I'll ask them.

I want to know if the neighborhood is still standing, or if at the very least the homes still had windows, or if anyone went deaf, considering the resulting shock wave from such an object moving as described.

There's another possibility you haven't considered: That you vastly overrate publications such as Scientific American.

Because the term “space monster” better encompasses the ridiculousness of the concept : that unphotographable space aliens are traveling through a fold in the space-time continuum and are abducting schizophrenics to study their lower intestines.

Why do you find it necessary to ridicule those who disagree with you. I don’t agree with everything you post here. Do you wish to ridicule me as well?

As a matter of fact, the ‘hood is still standing. No windows blow out — indeed, no noise at all. Are you an engineer or worker in three dimensions? Do you use your brain to design, and your hands to build, things with moving parts? For a living?

How about you ask Quix the same question?

I eagerly await your reply to my post 145: do you work with your mind and hands to imagine and build three-dimensional working things with moveable parts?

Who are you kidding? There could be no film footage on this planet that you would ever, even after hell froze over, accept as bona-fide, unless you took the footage yourself.

I disagree. A clear, undoctored photo or video could be submitted to a peer reviewed publication. It's quite easy to detect fake photos with modern technology. And with everyone carrying a camera these days, it should be ridiculously easy to snap a pic of a space monster, since they seem to be visiting us nightly and twice on Tuesdays.

You kid yourself calling for "clear, undoctored video," but that's the only one you're kidding.

I'm actually quite serious. If you could see my face, you'd see that I am now looking at you with an expression of the utmost seriousness.

However, I have experienced first-hand, personally, so many paranormal and psychic phemomena that there are way too many to count -- these are first-hand things that make it very obvious that humans can and do communicate with each other in ways that break all laws of physics.

We might have to call a momentary truce so that I can hear these stories. You might not have read my previous posts on this subject, but I became the skeptic after a childhood of reading space monster books and paranormal articles. All of which turned out to be the musings of liars or sufferers of mental illness. When watching shows about space monsters, I always hated the skeptic. He ruined the story with facts. So imagine my anger when I realized that most of the space monster witnesses were lying to get attention. I was forced to be the skeptic I hated. So cast out from space monster society, I built a dark lab and a powerful skeptic suit. In the evenings I take flight, searching the streets for space monster hoaxers and liars.

Until you have two or three similar experiences, you will comfort yourself by telling yourself that I am either lying or delusional.

Should space monsters visit my dark lair, I plan to do two things :

1. Try to pick my jaw up off the floor and snap a photo with my trusty mysterio-cam.

2. Come immediately inside, log on to FR, and compose an extensive apology to Quix.

Okay, HERE'S A CHALLENGE FOR YOU: You produce a three-minute video that could fool a team of researchers for more than 20 seconds.

Why in the world would I do that? Hoaxers are the criminals who cast me out and made me into this dark, skeptic villain, who I barely recognize when I look in the mirror. But just like Darth Vader, beneath this mask, there may yet be a flicker of space monster belief, persisting in hopes that someone might yet remove my mask and show me a piece of a space monster ship so that I can once again throw off the skeptic cloak and rejoin society.

What I am and what I do doesn't matter. When you claim something, be prepared to back it up when the obvious questions come.

I’m just as sorry as I can be, sweetheart, but I can only read and respond at a certain pace.

See post 148 to learn how I was exiled to the land of skeptics.

Do you wish to ridicule me as well?

No. However, I would like it if the History Channel would return to covering history and stop making documentaries about alien hoaxes and animals that don't exist. And people driving trucks across frozen lakes. It's quite annoying.

To prove that you're not blowing smoke out your ass when you claim the authority to pronounce these photos obvious fakes?

As for the rest of your post, take it to freepmail if you're interested. I'm not going to bore the forum detailing the many, many, many, many, many experiences I have personally had with regard to communications breaking the laws of physics, unexplained. That you haven't experienced them is your tough luck. You are exactly the person who would argue until he was blue in the face that ocean waves were an illusion, because you had never seen the ocean but instead had only seen lakes. You know large bodies of water and none of them make waves, right?

You cannot admit to yourself that you would never accept film footage as authentic, and you cannot admit to yourself that you are asking the FAR LARGER stretch of the imagination (and negative, condescending, ugly opinion of your fellow man) that pilots, policemen, astronauts, air traffic controllers, and regular people by the thousands ARE LYING OR DELUSIONAL, and this you know because you read a lot of "space monster stories" as a kid. Sounds to me like you're still that frightened little kid who's really scared because you know in your heart that those stories might be possible. Throw your tantrum and hide under the pillows if it makes you feel better. I'd do the same in your shoes.

You’ve got FReepmail. Back it up? You should talk. You are all blow-hard and zero “stuff” except that you think the laws of physics as understood today are the end-all and be-all forever and ever amen.

Amazing how so many True Believers™ found a relatively old thread.

I certainly would accept peer-reviewed evidence that spaceships are visiting Earth.

However, judging by the tone of your posts, it seems you are slightly upset over the discussion. It's a beautiful autumn Sunday, and I don't want my levity to cast a shadow over anyone's day, so I guess we will agree to disagree.

Typical "you're a closet homo" debating style of a DU'er.

Yow! Accusing me of being like a DUer? Where'd that come from, and what is it doing on Free Republic? When did I write anything remotely as insulting or belittling to you?

I am afraid of many things, including UFOs. Little kids have good sense in being frightened of things. It's a survival instinct. No insult was intended. CLEARLY you intend insult to my honor and character when you liken me to DUers. You should go sit in the corner and think about it for awhile.
