Well, I love Vertigo, the music was the best score of all films bar Gone with the Wind but I think it was in large part a major success because of the intriguing Kim Novak, who also held me spellbound (as well as Jimmy Stuart) in Bell, Book and Candle.

How I loved that duo. I’d like to know if they were friends.

Interesting, folks obsessing about a movie about obsession. In 1964 the GOP national convention which nominated Goldwater was held in San Francisco. Spent a fair amount of time at that corner, since the Fairmont and the Mark Hopkins Hotels there were convention headquarter hotels. I think that the apartment building they refer to was the Mark Hopkins.
