Hmmm... OK, well I was working on things Dohrn and Ayers said, and something I read the other day about that Tom guy I mentioned (I think it was Tom Hayden, but I have to check to be sure). I wouldn’t exactly call them reliable! LOL

I readily admit that the government’s inaction on some of these things confuses me, too! :) However, all of these “organizations” are confusing ME! I’ve been learning a LOT in just the last month about what went on before I was born and in the early 70s when I was just a baby. Even when I was in school in the late 80s these things were NOT covered in our history books - AT ALL - everything “ended” in our books after WWII. AND, we only covered the Vietnam war for a VERY short time in my “Current Events” elective class, and that was only because my teacher was a veteran!

It’s no wonder so many my age, and especially those in the generation AFTER mine have NO CLUE about what Obama represents! It’s quite frightening, really.

The new SDS ‘counterpart’, Movement for a Democratic Society (MDS).

That is a new affiliate. I misunderstood you before when you said ‘new SDS’. Because they have always been alive and well. Quiet at times, but never went away.

The point of affiliates is then you can say ‘We didn’t do it!’ (legally), they did.

Of course it is always ‘they’ with multiple personality disorders.

Barry Leon Bearak (born August 31, 1949, in Chicago) is a Pulitzer Prize winning American journalist and professor of journalism who has worked as a reporter and correspondent for The Miami Herald, The Los Angeles Times, and The New York Times. He also taught journalism as a visiting professor at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. As of April 2008, Bearak is co-bureau chief of the New York Times Johannesburg bureau.[1]

On April 3, 2008, Bearak was taken into custody by Zimbabwean police as part of a crackdown on journalists covering the 2008 Zimbabwean election. He was charged with “falsely presenting himself as a journalist” in violation of the strict accreditation requirements that were imposed by the government of Robert Mugabe. Despite worldwide condemnation and court petitions that were filed immediately to release him from detention, Bearak remained in a detention cell in Harare for 5 days.[2] On April 7, 2008 Bearak was released on bail by a Zimbabwean court.[3] On April 16, 2008, a Zimbabwean court dismissed the charges against Bearak, saying that the state had failed to provide evidence of any crime, and ordered that Bearak and Stephen Bevan, a British freelance reporter who had also been accused of violating the country’s stiff journalism laws, be released. immediately following the court ruling, Mr. Bearak left Zimbabwe and returned to his home in Johannesburg.”[4] While in detention in Harare, Bearak was badly injured from a fall onto the concrete floor of the detention cell and needed medical attention.[5]

Bearak won the 2002 Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting for his penetrating accounts of poverty and war in Afghanistan. The Pulitzer Prize committee cited him “for his deeply affecting and illuminating coverage of daily life in war-torn Afghanistan.”[6]

Ah, I think I understand now. And, no you didn’t misunderstand me, I had assumed that these were new organizations using the name of the old ones, I didn’t realize SDS had not gone away after the Vietnam war. :)

Don't let them confuse you. That is one of their goals.

Just look at it in a visual.

All of their organizations function like this. Companies that support them function like this. It is really one top organizing group or business. The affiliates underneath serve no other purpose but to create a money laundering source, an action source, or an appearance of many.

Take that little graphic, write at the copy SDS. Any of the people underneath are MDS, WUO, Alphabet Soup, Sacrificial Entity, Fall Man, Money Laundering Source, Plausible Deniability....See? Legally, it was never SDS. PETA does this with ELF and ALF. This way, it was always ELF's fault. And PETA lives on to promote the same outcome.

Definitely! Thank you. :) I know that their goal is to make it so hard to connect the dots that people don’t realize who is behind it all (the same way the World Worker’s Party is behind MoveOn.org, ANSWR and Code Pink).

The ONE thing I’m so very grateful to have learned since I was in High School? That Socialism and Communism are NOT separate ideologies, AT ALL! And that today’s communists use the word “socialist” because they KNOW Americans still understand that “Communism = evil”.

And, one thing I’m very glad that I AM old enough to remember is Ronald Reagan and the Cold War. Once I made the connection between the impossibility of socialism EVER working in practice and realized that it indeed was a “pretty” term for actual Communism I was no longer capable of being misled by the left’s propaganda.

I’m not really ashamed of believing in socialism as a rebellious teen. If anything I am grateful because I understand how easy it is for people to get caught up in the “utopian theory” - even if a person is pretty darn intelligent!

To be honest with you — it scares the HECK out of me, because I’m still trying to figure out how to get through to some of these people who are probably like myself when I was a lot younger. I honestly don’t remember how I “escaped”. It was probably a mixture of time, some maturity, and real-life experience and that isn’t something that can be taught in the matter of weeks, or months. It’s a process that takes years, and I don’t think we have a lot of time left before it’s “too late” for America...

Sorry if this sounds depressing, but I am honestly very fearful for our nation. I look at what just happened in Venezuela that so many on the left were cheering about (especially when Chavez shut down the papers and TV stations). So many honestly believe that it couldn’t happen here and that Obama and his “friends” are “good people” who would NEVER destroy the Constitution, but the signs are all there - if they would only wake up!
