I saw the interview. This guy is a troll.

Can someone please take this down?

Oh, good gawd! It was his to lose and he’s been doing a good job of losing all this week. Nail, meet coffin. Sarah, it’s really been nice knowing you.

How many friggin’ vanity threads are you going to post? One for every time McCain appears on TV? You could have added this to the one you posted last night.

Commentary’s John Podhoretz:

Perhaps the House Republicans whose objections to the bailout bill gave sufficient cover to House Democrats terrified of their constituent calls to join them in torpedoing the legislation will be proved right somehow, and legislation can be substantively improved or the market can somehow stabilize on its own in the intervening days before a new bill can be designed. Perhaps the stock markets around the world will not crash. Perhaps the credit markets will not instantly calcify. Perhaps the fact that Republicans broke against the bill 2-to-1 will not lead to a general consensus that the failure of the bailout legislation was entirely due to Republicans, since 94 Democrats voted against it as well. Perhaps people will accept the Republican complaint that Nancy Pelosi gave a really nasty speech just before the vote tally and made ten Republicans so angry they decided to vote “nay.”

Perhaps.

But probably not.

Instead he came out, he stated he supported the plan that failed – and that he still supports the plan that failed.
He was saying that yesterday, so you've go to give him credit for sticking to his guns, I guess. Before the vote, he was taking credit for the bill: McCain camp claims credit over bailout changes

Is anyone getting the idea yet that McCain is wearing down and as the campaign drags on, seems to just want it to get over with? I don’t see that with him all the time, but it does seem to surface occasionally, especially lately.

OVER?
Nothing is over until we SAY it's over!
Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

Listen troll, if that's indeed what you are: You can work yourself into a dither if you want. But you can take this to the bank: You will never persuade Freepers that we've lost until about a month after the game is over.

And the game is never over.

I saw Mac with the Friends, too, and am wondering if it’s too early for a cocktail.

Republican elites in the Bush cabal don’t really want to be in power, or exercise their power. They want to be liked by the liberal media establishment. What they don’t get is that being liked by the media establishment is only possible if you make them happy by accepting permanent minority party status.

The good news is that both he and his opponent are inept on this topic, which leaves us no choice but to vote on the other issues. McCain wins.

I saw it too. It was depressing. Got 2 calls from family members after that. Both said we are not going to win this one.

McCain is deluded. It’s becoming painfully obvious:

He actually believes HE is the reason for his convention bounce.

Is his wife becoming jealous of Palin’s star power, and somehow influencing him? What is it?

He’s really blowing this. Something has gone terribly, terribly wrong in Team McCain.

If he doesn’t deploy the Palin weapon, soon, he’s toast.

It’s that simple.

I also saw the interview.

McCain is owned by the banks. He's not going to do anything they don't want him to do. I don't understand why so many on FR refuse to see that.

My wife, who hates Obama and Biden, keeps saying they are going to win. Regardless of polls, Sarah, information getting to the people, ASSama is going to carry the day. And she is not a gloom and doomer, she just recognizes that most people are in love with what ASSama keeps saying and don’t care if it is lies. They want it and will put him in to get it.

I am beginning to think she is right.

You are hardly a credible source for breaking news.

McCain is trying to be Presidential and knows that if the Dow drops to 8,000 his chances of getting elected are slim. He has not lost a damn thing yet.

It’s a good thing most of us are hunters. It’s going to be rough-living while the GOP is in the wilderness.

Three words:

Palin.

Palin.

Palin.

McCain is blowing this, by hiding Sarah. She’s the reason he got that convention bounce.

Not platitudes to “my friends”.

It’s Sarah. And that dynamite aggresive acceptance speech of hers.

Where did that go???

Good Gosh, now that you have called the election I guess I can stay home. Do you have any insight on what I can expect after Senator Obama is elected and what can be done to stop it. I stand by to serve.
