What is your guess for the DIMs October Surprise?

I believe that it will be dumping Biden and picking up Hillary.

I doubt he will dump Biden for Hillary for two reasons.

First, it will only work if you are ahead of the media cycle. In this case, everyone is predicting and speculating it will happen. If this does happen, everyone will know it is just a game, no matter the excuse.

Second, it is getting too late to change the name on... Read More ballots in most States.

Now, if Biden does this to undermine Obama so Hillary can run in 2012, then it would make sense.

More likely a hugely trumpeted scandal involving Palin or McCain wholly fabricated but close enough to the election that there is not time to refute it convincingly to the public. That doesn’t mean it will affect the election more than a % or so, though. The frantic BS about Palin to date has only strengthened her because it is so obviously wrong-headed, even to nonfanatic liberals and so rankly “sexist” to the less ideological feminists and may have acted as a vaccination against the expected October BS.

I think some states are already voting. Thus I do not think that it would go over well switching. I think it would anger a lot of people. Even the people who supported Hillary would prefer has as president, not vice president. He already dissed Hillary. That damage has already been done.
