Obama Met With Fox News Executives

ST. PAUL, Minn., Sept. 2 -- At a secret meeting with Barack Obama three months ago, Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes says, he tried to clear the air with the Democratic senator by saying that his organization was determined to be fair but would not be "in the tank" for Obama's campaign.

During the sit-down in a Waldorf-Astoria hotel suite in Manhattan that included Rupert Murdoch, the network's owner, Obama expressed concern about the way Fox was covering him. "I just wanted to know if I'm going to get a fair shake from Fox News Channel," Ailes recalled him saying.

"Senator, you're the one who boycotted us," Ailes says he replied. "We're not the ones who boycotted you. Nor did we retaliate for your boycott."

complaining that the network favors Republicans

That might have been true a few years ago but over the last couple years FOX has been sliding quickly down that slippery slope to join the likes of CNN et al.

Obama wanted Fox to get on board with all of the other MSM networks to be in the tank for him.

Basically put, Obama is a crybaby and how dare ANYONE criticize him. Kudos to Ailes and Murdoch for not capitulating to this thin-skinned jive talker and his cronies.

Obama thinks he's entitled to 100% favorable press notices, because he's, you know...

Actually, he's a Stalinist.

Stalinism is a political practice of using propaganda to establish a personality cult around an absolute dictator, as well as extensive use of the secret police to maintain social submission and silence political dissent.

“Obama now plans to appear on Bill O’Reilly’s prime-time Fox program on Thursday, the night that John McCain delivers his acceptance speech at the Republican convention here.” I watch Bill O’Reilly and have watched him spinning out of control because Obama was not responding to his request to have him on the show. Now he has set up this interview the very night McCain takes the stage. I am no longer watching that show. O’Reilly’s ego has finally joined him to the spin bunch.

Maybe the interview could have been done by Shemphard Smith.

They could make eyes at each other.

And how great it is that he commits to an interview on Thursday evening. So much for reciprocating and giving John McCain “his night.” Hubris...stumble on it, Obama.

BTW, Bob Beckel was informed on Fox a few minutes ago that Barack would be interviewing with BOR. He apparently was hearing this for the first time - his face turned white as a ghost - thought he would fall out of his chair! It was fun to watch!

Did he sit down with ALL the other networks that are attacking Palin concerned that they would give her a fair shake.

Obambi/Bye-Done = Pathetic

FNC should go into full attack mode on Obama after the way the MSM is behaving.

Nothing should be off—limits. Come after them with both barrels and give them a taste of their own medicine.

What concerns me is the question, did Obama negotiate with FOX what is “off limits” in terms of questioning. I have heard OReilly say a dozen times he will not bring someone on for interview by paying them, or by the interviewee dictating terms of the interview. Now they report FOX is meeting with Ailes to discuss the interview. What is to discuss. OReilly asked him questions and he gives lies for answers. It is as simple as that. If OReilly has a nutsack he will force clarity and candor, but I suspect OReilly is jockying to prove to Obama, should he become president, that Obama will feel “comfortable” comeing on his show. OReilly was really tough on Hillary when she came on his show.. It will be much the same, if not more vexatious.

I would love to see FOX go after Obama, but they would be a party of one. There are huge, gaping holes in Obama's life story and personal resumé that remain unexplained because no one in the news media is asking any questions about them. When it comes to liberal Democrat candidates, the media uncritically report their words; when it comes to Republican conservatives, they are given the journalistic equivalent of a colonoscopy.

O’Reilly will be very soft on Obama.

O’Reilly, a buffoon at heart, will try to show that he is so “fair” that Obama will not be pressed on the tough issues, and will be allowed to give his set piece without O’Reilly following up to refute anything.

O’Reilly is a blowhard and a stupid man. It will be two lightweights in a race to the bottom.
