Prayers For Palin
Posted on 09/03/2008 12:45:22 AM PDT by GLDNGUN
Let's keep Sarah Palin in our prayers.
TOPICS: Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS: convention; palin; prayer; sarahpalin; speech; vp
I'm certainly not the most spiritual person in the world, but I can't help but feel the spiritual warfare that has been swirling around Sarah Palin since she was introduced to the nation.
She has been savagely attacked by America-hating leftists and their useful idiots, also known as the mainstream media.
As Pat Buchanan said in his recent article (read it if you haven't), we could very well be on the brink of a historical moment of monumental proportions. Should McCain/Palin win in November, Sarah Palin immediately becomes the GOP favorite for President in the next election that McCain doesn't run.
I don't think the demoncrats out with their knives are even thinking that far ahead. All they know is that she stands between them and victory in November, and they will do anything to destroy her, even if it means destroying her family in the process.
While as a conservative I have disagreed with some of McCain's positions over the years, I do admire his commitment to cut excess spending. Combine that with Ronald Reagan conservatism and you have the core beliefs and principles of Sarah Palin.
What a role model she would be for the women of America. Her Down's Syndrome child and grandchild now 5 months old in her daughter's womb will be living reminders of 2 things - How this family chose LIFE when dealt difficult circumstances, and how this family not only survived vile attacks from the left/MSM, but turned it back on them.
I have no doubt the forces of evil have been working as hard as they can to prevent Palin from being the next VP, not only to prevent immediate defeat, but what it means in the long run.
Alaska fell in love with Sarah, and if she gets anywhere near that level of support nationwide, the dems and the media are finished. And the more they thrash about and scream, the more support she will get.
The only chance the left/MSM has is to destroy her before she gets her chance to present herself to the nation and tell her story.
They have tried everything they know of the past few days, grasping for anything they could get their hands on or imagine in their sick, twisted minds, but their time is running out. Sarah Palin addresses the nation Wednesday night.
It seems so unfair the way she's been treated, and of course it is, but would there be such interest in her speech coming up, if it weren't for all of this media frenzy?
I think there's a good chance the viewing audience will be DOUBLE of what it would be otherwise when she addresses the nation. If she does as well as I think, hope, and pray she does, it's game over for the left/MSM smear campaign.
Not to compare Sarah to a snake, but if you are going to kill one, you better go for the head and not miss. This is what the left/MSM has done over the past couple of days. They have knocked her down, but on Wednesday night she gets up and strikes back.
The importance of her upcoming address can not be understated. I firmly believe that after her address, the election will be over for all intents and purposes, one way or another. If she does a poor job for some reason, which I believe is HIGHLY unlikely, she will look out of her league and make McCain look like he made a poor choice and will doom their chances. If she delivers a HOME RUN, which is exactly what I expect, I believe it will begin a tidal wave of support for the ticket. I can see her EASILY outdrawing "The Messiah" at campaign stops becoming a sensation all of her own.
The atmosphere at the convention when she gets up to deliver her speech will be absolutely electric. I think we will see history in the making, or at least the beginning of it. I think most of us will have goosebumps as she talks, seeing for ourselves that she is more than up to the task at hand. She will be absolutely adored by those at the hall. Don't be surprised when her standing ovation at the end of her speech is the longest ever given to a politician at a convention, or perhaps anywhere.
Of course, none of this will be possible without the grace of God. I can't even begin to understand what kind of pressure she is under at this moment. Perhaps she's so new to this scene that she doesn't even feel it. Maybe she's like the rookie kicker who trots out onto the field like she has a thousand times in practice, and simply knocks down the game-winning field goal with no time left on the clock, then wonders what the big deal is while jubilant fans rush the field and tear down the goal posts.
I'm sure I'm just one of millions of Americans who have had her and her family in our prayers in recent days.
PLEASE keep her in your prayers throughout this coming day, that she may simply be herself when she delivers that speech and show the rest of the nation what Alaska has already discovered - that Sarah Palin is something special.

I have been lifting her up to God ever since she was chosen for the ticket - and I pray that she will be comforted and filled with God’s love.

Most definitely! She and her family have been in my prayers almost constantly this last week, with more prayers as she faces unprecedented hostility from the LSM press corps, the organ of the DNC.

Very well said!!
Just remember...
If God is for her, who can be against her..(certainly not anyone who counts!)...
If God is for her.....and I think He is.
I have committed her and her family to prayer as well.
And let's be careful not to make an idol of her....
..No one, but no one, not even Sarah Palin, could have turned the hearts and minds of this nation around last Friday morning save God allowed it!
MANY have been praying to God for mercy for our nation.
Thank-you for writing this.

Thank you very much for your comments this morning about keeping the proper perspective. Sarah is a vessel God can use but we must remember to give Him the glory. May He give her greater strength, endurance, peace and clarity as she speaks to her fellow Americans tonight. It is a message we all need to hear and that so many of us are longing to hear. We love you Sarah and stand behind you!
