The Politico has received an opposition research file from the Alaska Democrats. You can read it in PDF here.
In the file, the Democrats have released Sarah Palin's social security number minus the last four digits. Also tied to the information are her various home addresses.
Back in 2005, Democrats used Michael Steele's social security number to get his credit record.
It is atrocious that the Democrats would not only seek out Sarah Palin's social security number, but release it in opposition research to the press.
We need to know who did this. We also need to know what happened. We also need to know if it was used to bolster the Democrats' opposition research.
When it happened to Michael Steele, it turns out the Democrats knew about it and did nothing.
They cannot not take action now.
The Life Lock guy should offer her free coverage. It would be free advertising for him.
Politics has gotten so ridiculous in this country. The Justice department needs to start arresting people over this crap.

If you know the first 7 digits, it’s easy enough to have an automated program figure out the last 4. That’s why most websites hide the FIRST seven digits, not the LAST four.
Well, if they released her SSN minus the last 4 digits, can someone still steal her identity?
The last four digits are used so extensively they would be easy to obtain. In effect, they released the entire SSN. This crap has gone too far. If the media doesn’t hold them to account, NetRoots must.

OTOH, this is another piece of news to put out there. There’s so much crap flying from the left it’s like a gift.
Editorials, dear people. List the most egregious things and demand an investigation.
It’s not just her SSN. This document has the VIN of every single vehicle—cars, trucks, ATVs, trailers—that Sarah or Todd Palin have owned since 1994. It’s got an address in Wasilla that maybe was where they lived before she became Governor and a phone number as well. (Does AK even have a Governor’s Mansion?) It’s got the fact that Todd Palin was charged with a misdemeanor count of “use of off-road vehicle in the Susitna Flats Game Refuge.” (NOTE: No mention of whether there was a conviction, or a fine paid.) And of course, her “using a drift gillnet without a permit” ticket, for which liberals everywhere are now screaming she should get the death penalty while Mumia abu-Jumal and Charlie Manson are left alive.
This is un-freaking-real.

Not only that, but the Dems having her social security number and releasing it are both violations of the Privacy Act of 1974. I hope Palin files a complaint with the U.S. Attorney for the Federal District naming How-Weird Dean and all the member of the Democrat National Committee.
