I pray to God someone makes these people pay for their shameless exploitation of Katrina going on 3 years now. They claim to be concerned yet all they see is a political opportunity. They reveal in the misery of these people and have gotten away with it for 3 years. Shame on our side for letting them get away with it. I hope this is brought up at the convention next week.

I went to LSU for my undergrad and was there after Katrina hit in 2005. I think more than a thousand people died from Hurricane Katrina, and this jerk is glad that a hurricane of the same type magnitude is headed to New Orleans, just because he thinks it will make the Republicans look bad. Stuff like this truly makes my blood boil!

You would think Karl Rove could get his weather machine to divert the hurricane.

Not surprising. For the past three years, they've been milking with barely concealed glee all the political points they can score off of another hurricane's tragic wake of destruction (see post 4).

You can see the same thing with the war in Iraq. The Democrats do not simply, with principled dissent, think that it was an ill-advised course of action and hope to make the best of what they perceive to be a bad situation. They want us to lose!

They really do not care what happens to this country or how many people die as long as it benefits "The Party." Why does this sound familiar?

The GOP should demand an apology, not for themselves, but for the people of the Gulf Coast and the people of America who have friends & loved ones in that area.

Your other thread was pulled - but here's my comment to it:

CNN women often drip with hatred. Not professional. But the prize tonight goes to ABC News with Charles Gibson. Last week they did a short piece on lobbyist at the dem convention - and mentioned that the same lobbyists also contribute to Republicans. They didn’t “catch” any dems and hint they were doing anything wrong. Tonight they did a hit piece on Republicans and lobbyists - and there was NO mention that dems also attend parties put on by these folks. Shameful. ABC News should look into the two pieces - side by side - and see for themselves.
