What Barack Obama and Hugo Chavez have in common is the conviction that prosperity can be achieved by consuming the means of production. But capital accumulation and economic progress depend on saving and innovation and these in turn depend on the freedom to make high profits and accumulate great wealth.

I’m continually amused that I, a high school graduate, can actually understand what this man is saying, while people with years and years of college experience seem unable to grasp it.
Then again, maybe it’s because I don’t buy into the Marxist class war propaganda that the commies have been pushing for who knows how long. Amazing how a little humility can clear your mind, eh?
