Congratulations and prayers for a safe delivery! We are expecting our third grandchild Friday by C-section and know what you are going through.

My wife was late with one that just didn't wanna come out. They had her ride a pogo stick up and down the halls. No luck. They then had her carry me piggy-back while I bonked her on the head with a foam mallet. No Luck.
Finally I told her I'm going out for beers with my buddies and out popped the baby. That was 30-yrs ago and I'm still paying for it.

Good wishes for a healthy ,beautiful baby! Number four was the charm for us. She was a beautiful 8 lb ,13 1/2 oz girl ,with auburn hair.Today she is a new mom again, with a 17 ,16 year old and the joy of our lives ,an 18 month old little boy.She was born in Texas and cried with an accent! God bless you and your lovely wife and family!

Like, *PING*, ladies.
Someone's wife is gaining on you.
(I'm sure any tips you ladies might have on sanity-keeping and time-management for the larger family, would be appreciated.)
Cheers!

Best wishes for a healthy baby. My daughter-in-law was induced for their third child and along with the epidural just about slept through the delivery. They sure do things differently now. Prayers for your family.

I can understand what you are going through. My third was a week late so they were going to induce labor the next day. I didn't want that, so cried in distress and prayed, all by myself. I woke up early in the morning in labor, and our son was born within an hour.
Maybe sometimes inducing labor is a good thing, I don't know, just didn't like the thought of it if it could have been avoided. It was just so common by then, much of it for the doctor's convenience it seemed, but partly for the safety of mother and baby.
Prayers for a safe delivery with no complications for Mom on God's timetable, not man's unless either goes into distress in which case we have options we didn't have in the past, fortunately.
Bearing a child is never without risk no matter what measures are taken; hence the worry.

That is great news, cardinal4! You have every reason to be thrilled -- keep us posted (You know! size, length, time of day/date, name, who she looks like, etc.)
May the Infant Jesus bring all to a healthy and happy end!
