Ringer Deej found this article on EW.Com:
Its now official: The Lord of the Rings screenwriting team of Peter Jackson (pictured), Fran Walsh, and Philippa Boyens will join The Hobbit director Guillermo del Toro to pen the screenplay for the two planned Hobbit movies. Sources tell EW.com that the scribes deals are all complete and they will commence writing shortly. (With shooting scheduled to begin in Fall 2009 in New Zealand, the quartet better get busy!) The Hobbit will center on Frodos uncle, Bilbo Baggins, and his initial discovery of the immensely-powerful ring. New Line and MGM plan to release the two films Christmas 2011 and Christmas 2012. Post your comments on the TORN Forum - its an exciting day for Hobbit fans! Thanks again to ringer Deej for posting this on our boards. EW.Com

Anyone wishing to be added to or removed from the Ring-Ping list, please don't hesitate to let me know.
When is LOTR coming out in BLU RAY?
Anyone know if they're going to do the two films simultaneously, like they did with the trilogy?
I was reading in a British site that David Tennant along with somje other actors were being considered. I hope Peter Jackson picks David Tennant to be Bilbo. DT would make a great Bilbo!
If you you ever watched DT as the Tenth Doctoer in the Doctor Who series, you'll see what I talking about. and not just the DW series but other moviies and films he's performed in.
It's only a runor and not true. some idiot started the rumor after David Tennant's last season as the tenth Doctor was over.
If I ever get my hand on that idiot (the rumor spreader) I'll make him eat haggis for a decade!
