I work at a plant and we are constantly getting telemarketing calls asking for our safety director to try and sell us over priced safety equipment. They ask to speak with our safety director and I tell them he was injured at work last week and will be off till he gets released from the Doc. Get a lot of calls trying to sell us magazines and I tell them I can’t read.
Years ago we used to get calls to go to sales pitches for time shares. And we used to tell them we were out of work and no prospects for getting a new one. That worked to get them to leave us alone because the time shares want to sign you up for a loan to buy it. And without a job, getting a loan is difficult.
