You said it was to goad. I stated it was to gloat.

So basically you and your alter ego are posting specifically to give "yourselves" the opportunity to participate in a behavior which you accuse others of displaying. Brilliant dude!

Perhaps you can point out where (in the course of your slow, careful reading) I accuse others of anything... dude.

Sorry, I keep mistaking you for someone else. Your alter ego is the accuser. You are the reasonable one. My mistake.

Kind of like “good cop/ bad cop”? ;o)
No apology necessary.
Reasonable... Thanks.
I’ve been called worse.

BTW, “P.C.” and “Windows” are not synonymous.
One is hardware. The other is an O.S.
(One of many O.S.’s!)

"PC" has a lot of different definitions depending on context. By one definition, it's an affordable desktop or laptop computer -- a definition that includes Macs. By another definition, it's an "IBM compatible" computer. By yet another, it's a computer with an Intel or compatible processor capable of running Windows -- which, again, includes Macs. By the strictest definition, a Personal Computer is (was) one made by International Business Machines, Inc., which trademarked the term.

The useful comparison is between Mac OS and Windows. If you're comparing hardware, then you're comparing Macs to other PCs on a component and cost level, which is a valid argument to have, but not one I find terribly interesting.

Concur. What I meant was just because I’m a “pc” guy doesn’t mean I’m a Windows guy. Not interested in the os flame wars.
If I could go out and buy the Mac OS I’d have a copy.
I “roll” all my own computers.

Several, I’m told. I’m not into real-time 3-D games.
