***Does Heavy Metal count as Rock?***
It most certainly does. :)
Oh man, you’re going to see four of the best bands at Metal Masters. Heaven and Hell, Testament, Judas Priest and Motorhead.
The Dark Side being the New Wave of British Heavy Metal?
Manowar?
Almost off topic. I just love girl group stuff. Bangles, Bond, Vanilla Mood and of course the Corrs.
Right this minute...Bad Company by Bad Company. Gonna try to get my son to play it on the pianee if I can find the sheet music.
Yeah I’m really looking forward to it. Heaven and Hell came to town last year but I was “in a mood” as my mother has said so I didn’t go. Then I felt dumb, because I wasn’t in a mood anymore by the time the show hit. Then I heard about this show (Masters of Metal) coming to Phoenix and it turned out to be during my vacation (I vacation at the pool, travel is for people that don’t like home), I took this schedule alignment to be a message from the metal gods. I’ve actually seen the Dio version of Sabbath before on the Dehumanizer tour, but never seen any of the rest. Gonna make my ears bleed.
Make sure to have a good pair of earplugs for the show.
Iron Maiden - Lord of Light
With Captain Morgan as my friend.
Weeeeee
Hogjaws and Restrained Idiots..(Live)
Nothing right now, but lately I’ve been digging “In The Name Of God” by Dream Theater. Killer evil down-tuned riffing from hell!
I'm hooked on their "Pork & Beans"!
“So who listens to what, “
I would have to be dreaming or out of my mind to be in that scenario, so I guess I’d just close my eyes and listen to Gates of Delirium...
Thanks everyone!
Jamming to “The Refreshments” station on Pandora...
I’ve been listening to Eddie Money’s 1982 album ‘No Control’. A great album that features some incredible roots-acoustic rock in My Friends My Friends, Hard Life, Passing By The Graveyard, Runin Away. The best album of the 1980’s that nobody ever talks about.
Lately,
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Dig!! Lazarus, Dig!
The Hold Steady - Stay Positive
My Morning Jacket - Evil Urges
Steve Earle - I Feel Alright
The Black Keys - Attack & Release
Yep, a New York Heavy Metal group very popular in Europe and Latin America. Check them out on You Tube.
Now listening to Iron Maiden’s live album ‘Rock In Rio’ in its entirety.
250,000 - 300,000 fans at that show. Absolutely amazing
