This also brings back a memory, the first political thing I ever did in my life, was to go door to door in my neighborhood and have everyone sign a petition demanding that the Iranians release our embassy personnel. It’s the kind of thing I did at 12 and Obama would do now.”
good for you, even at 12, for being so astute and politically aware! But you give Obama too much credit for patriotism. He would be petitioning everyone now to support terrorists against Isreal and the “evil” United States.

The Juan McCain Truth File. "I have great respect for Al Gore." John McCain, October 2, 2008 FR Keywords: mccaintruthfile, mcqueeg, mcbama Please tag all relevant threads with the aforementioned keywords. This can be a very high-volume ping list at times. To join the ping list: FReepmail rabscuttle385 with the subject line add mccaintruthfile. (Stop getting pings by sending the subject line drop mccaintruthfile.) Republican Commissars Warning: By joining this ping list, you may be subjected to the delusional rants and ramblings of McCainiacs, of "moderate" Republicans, of pragmatic conservatives resigned to voting for the lesser of two Democrats, and of countless GOP shills who simply want to meet a new overlord. |

Wish I knew about this list at the time. I had left FR for a while in disgust of nearly everyone defending McCain on a daily basis. Many mistakenly thought Fred Thompson automatically lent him credibility and principles. As beautiful a picture of McCain as Fred painted, ultimately McCain is still the turd underneath.
