Fellow Freepers:

When someone defames our American military, what can be done about that?

A member of the governing council of the American Library Association [ALA] has said "prisoners' Korans have been routinely desecrated by soldiers," referring to Guantonamo Bay, Cuba. He followed up with another comment confirming what I believe to be his defamation.

What can be done when something like this happens?

I ask you to read his exact comments at my linked blog (American Troops Defamed by ALA Councilor Peter McDonald), and the comments too, and tell me your thoughts or post them right there. Was were defamation? Were our great American military members defamed? Are there other injustices I may not have noticed? What can be done when people defame our military? Is there an organization that may be interested in pursuing this issue further?
