There is no universal right, right? We all believe slightly different things...ditto the left. We need to move beyond demonizing if we are ever going to get anywhere...agree with them? NO, but to lump everyone that’s not part of your side together and then say something to effect as “This entire half of the country has no respect for wisdom” that is just silly. Political belief is a chinese menu of ideas, not binary choice.

Hmm.
Well, I suppose you would be right, if what you said were true.
No universal right? Huh? Oh wait, I get it.
Nice example of using “ knowledge VS wisdom” in exactly the way the thread poster was alluding to.
Thanks for the enlightenment.
Btw- Troll much?

Avogadro’s number is a universal constant.

Truths/facts are universal rights, no matter the side.

Knowledge is the collection of those truths/facts.

Wisdom is the ability to use truth/facts, especially when not all are available, to make the correct decision in an unfamiliar situation.

I did not say “This entire half of the country has no respect for wisdom”.

I did say the left seems to consider wisdom a lesser priority, when compared to knowledge.

Political belief is a chinese menu of ideas, not binary choice.

Read Dr Sowell's "Conflict of Visions".

Political belief, ie worldview, IS a binary.

You either believe in the inherent sin nature of man, and thus restrict his power to oppress others,

or you believe in the perfectability of man, and seek to empower those who are more perfected than others with the power to impose their enlightened ideas on everyone else.

And those with the latter belief, logically, think they are wiser than anyone who ever lived throughout history, even wiser than God.
