I believe that is a different Alan Guttmacher. You are probably thinking about Alan Frank Guttmacher who died in 1974 and was a big eugenics/population control/planned parenthood schill. Alan Edward Guttmacher is a different guy.

I thought he was a relative of Alan F., who had been referenced in popcon literature,like Alexander Sanger. If I were a bona fide doctor, I would change my name rather than risk being confused with someone like Alan F.
