The pecking order (and it’s been that way for nearly 20 years) is youngest kid is the “smartest” (or has the smartest mouth), then the mom, then an older teen who can be a goof sometimes, then dad who is always in the doghouse and inept.

It is true of sitcoms and tv commercials.

Sounds about right. I miss “Father Knows Best.”

In our house, Mommy is executive, Daddy is enforcement, and little girls with smart mouths are in trouble. This is normally not an issue, but it occasionally gets reinforced when they try to imitate any of the behavior they watch on TV.

No, if the teen is an older boy, he is usually no good in school, girl hungry and a sports star. If the teen is a girl, she is almost a slut.

The only sit-coms I watch are Simpsons, King of the Hill, Family Guy and American Dad. The only other thing I watch are the 3 CSIs, NCSI and Numbers and sports. (and Special Report and Hannity's America, also).
