It's the principle of the thing. If I had never gotten a Mini-30 I would still be buying Rugers. The biggest disappointment I ever had in a gun was that Ruger. I've been surprised at how many people I knew just threw those rifles in the closet and forgot about them.

You know, it might be worth while contacting Ruger to see if there's anything that can be done, given that it may have been redesigned. You could give them a call, and who knows? If you're reasonable polite, they might be willing to do something for you.

Is it good for the first cold round and then does it get worse as you shoot each subsequent round?

Have you very carefully inspected the sight mounting on the rear sight?

Look for looseness in left right adjustor.

It you have a scope did a smith mount it or did you?
