The Henry Blake years were the finest on TV IMO. Dittoes! The first four or so years of M*A*S*H are a high-water mark for television. Seldom have actors had wittier scripts to play with (Larry Gelbart, et. al.).

Larry Gelbart was one of the writers for Sid Caesar’s “Your Show of Shows”, along with Mel Brooks, Neil Simon, Woody Allen and Carl Reiner.
