I thank God for Free Republic.com It helped me cope when a family member was in Iraq. Thank God they came home safely.(the media was not giving ANY good news at the time.. It was great to see so many people stand behind what the U.S. stands for and those protecting it, while facing the avalanche of the hatred of the main stream media.

I can see the wisdom of the rule of thumb of never talking politics or religion amongst friends from seeing what the posts has become, since I've started lurking here a few years ago. Can't believe the venom oozing out in some posts.

but... it's our country going down the tubes here and we need to fight for it.

Being an undeclared voter, I reserve the right to vote for whomever I feel is the best candidate running for office. (not certain if it means/meant the same thing in different states) I'm from Alaska, after the undeclared (as opposed to Republican Party, voted Sarah Palin in as Govenor. all of a sudden, they have a closed caucus since then. I don't think the Republican party wanted a conservative, but most of Alaska did at the time. (We are getting people from liberal areas destroying the identity of who we are too) From reading the posts here, I know many of you don't think that's right that a undeclared should be able to vote for your Republican nominee. I disagree. My vote means alot to me and not given lightly.

I and many I know want a value candidate... a conserative. There is only one left in the race. For America's sake, please check out alankeyes.com.

Thanks for reading.. and please remember it's winter and the waters frozen.. so keep the flames little :)

Never heard of such. You're free to vote for whomever you wish and say so in FR.

I have these really nice thick socks for colder weather. They’re very soft and comfortable.

I know Alan Keyes......good man... my son went to Mexico on a church/school outing with his son.

No chance of election though....If there was a chance for him it should have started over 12 months ago, he needed realistic traction at least 6 months ago.

The only Republican choice for a psuedo-consevative at this juncture is Romney....

Ann Coulter is right, you might as well vote for Hillary rather than McCain.....

I was wondering...in Alaska, do the Moose ever come into your backyard looking for some cheese?

While I can appreciate your sentiment, too many DO take it lightly... and some that are quite serious are also doing quite serious damage in their roles as moles. My next vote will be cast as an independent (McCain and his GOP enablers told me to stick it, and I have partially accomodated them by sticking my GOP registration up their ***), so believe me, I am sympathetic. I don't, however, have an answer to the question of how independents can legitimately influence a party's caucuses or primaries other than looming offstage with a menacing glint in their collective eyes.

I intend to not only have a glint, but a glare- for BOTH sides of the oligarch club's aisle.
