That’s funny?

About as funny as this...

“Look, I was an independent during the time of Reagan-Bush. I’m not trying to return to Reagan-Bush.”

“We do have tough gun laws in Massachusetts. I support them. I won’t chip away at them. I believe they help protect us and provide for our safety.”

“I don’t line up with the NRA.”

“All people should be allowed to participate in the Boy Scouts regardless of their sexual orientation.”

sounds like Mitt in ‘94, right? Looks like there were
some adjustments rolling out of the factory for the
Mitt ‘08 model...(tie-in to his Dad’s running of AMC)

His Dad was a great businessman. He had vision, and an incredible way of building a company.

I’m a fan of George Romney the business man. And I mourn the loss of AMC/Nash/Hudson/Rambler/Studebaker, et al.

I know he was Gov, but little else about his politics.

Mitt isn’t fit to tie the shoe strings of his Dad, IMO.

“I mourn the loss of AMC/ .../Studebaker”

I don’t think AMC ever owned the automotive division of Studebaker; maybe you’re thinking of Studebaker’s general products division, which was a legacy from Kaiser.

Yes, Romney got Studebaker with the merger of Kaiser. Which they then spun off all non automotive business except the Kelvinator appliance division.

I’m not sure I follow your clarification. Are you saying that AMC owned Studebaker’s automotive division at one time? I thought Studebaker automotive was independent to the bitter end.

My bad. Rambler-Nash-Hudson had attempted a merger with Packard Studebaker following years of cross marketing engines.

I’m still dazed by FRed’s Ross Perot move.

I certainly hope that Fred’s leaving the race won’t lead to a 1992-type exodus by disaffected conservatives. I won’t stay home or vote third party unless Ron Paul gets the Republican nomination. That doesn’t mean that I am thrilled with the remaining contenders, but I don’t want eight years of Hillary Clinton under (almost) any circumstances.

I have to be honest. I’m devastated. More than anything, I don’t want a RINO as POTUS. If our Country is to be raped, pillaged, and plundered again, I want it to be a DUmmy, not an (R) that does it.

I have been looking at RuPaul’s positions. I think he might be the least dangerous to our Country. He would never get his moonbat shiite through Congress, and his other positions are Conservative.

It might be a good strategy to keep the WH and not damage our Country further.

As much as I admire some of his free-market positions, he wouldn’t stand a chance against either Hillary or Obama. In this media-driven age, and with the MSM’s help, they would eat him alive. At the moment, I plan to hold my nose and vote for Romney on Super Tuesday.
