For President, Sen. Fred D.Thompson

We hear every four years that "this election is a critical election". However, this year it is really critical. Compared with the democratic field, the republican field has produced by far the most qualified individuals to be President.

America this year can chose between two distinct paths; American Federalism or European Socialism. The only viable candidate in this election that has promised to continued this Reaganesque tradition is Sen. Fred D. Thompson.

Sen Thompson may not have the executive experience as a Gov Romney, Gov Huckabee, or Mayor Guiliani, but Sen. Thompson understands the true nature of the American political system. He also understands that more government is not the solution and that any one who holds the office of the Presidency of the United States must do so with full conviction and confidence as a conservative.

Being a conservative does not mean adopting conservative religious views, or talking like a conservative, and practicing liberal politics, but instead understanding the limits that are placed on the federal government by respecting those individuals rights that are guaranteed by the Constitution and using those rightful powers of the federal government and the Presidency to run the Executive branch, and by appointing judges to the federal bench that would be truthful to the constitution.

Sen. Thompson realizes the dangers of the Islamic threat from abroad and the need to secure our borders from illegal immigration and is not afraid to face it head on.

He understands the free market, and is not afraid to preach the values of hard work and honest investment. Although we are all sinners, Sen. Thompson has the moral credentials to serve as Commander-in-chief of our Armed Forces.

The Choice could not be clearer; A man who understands clarity of the constitution and a man who is willing to do what is needed to protect this country in the face of Islamic extremist.

For President Sen. Fred D. Thompson.

This election, America will vote “European Socialism.” The majority want free stuff at someone else’s expense. Thus, with the illegal vote, the dead vote, the Marxist vote, the cheat vote, the fraud vote, the Marxists will win this election and control the White House and the People’s Socialist Congress.

Sorry, but I do not share that belief. I think that Bush has so damaged the conservative movement and with the cheating and fraud that the Dimocrats will do this election, to insure that they win, we have little chance. Conservatives are rapidly and I mean RAPIDLY becoming the political minority in this country. With illegals voting with the pleasure of the Dimocrats, they will win. It is about power with them and they do not care how many laws they break, how much damage they will do to the country, they simply want power. I see little or no chance for our side to win this election. And you can bet your last dollar that if they have the White House and the Congress at the same time, they are going to pass every law they can to take away form up, ban whatever they can ban, appoint as many US District Court Judges for life, probably a couple of supremes, etc. the damage will be total. They will pass all kinds of taxing laws, taxing everything they can tax, talking away freedoms by the gallon. Yes, I think if they get into power this election, you will not recognize the nation in 4 years. The only reason they did not during Klinton was because republicans had the Congress and could prevent it, but not if they own the congress. I think we are going to lose our ass in the Senate races. Sorry, but everything I see and read, makes me believe that.

With Fred Thompson you have a consistent, committed conservative who feels a call to service in his run for president. This puts him in the same category as Ronald Reagan. On the other hand you have the likes of Flip Romney, who lacks core convictions but has a lust for political power. He follows the likes of Bill Clinton in that regard and is a very dangerous candidate for our country.

“And you can bet your last dollar that if they have the White House and the Congress at the same time, they are going to pass every law they can..”

They remind me of Hugo Chavez. Give them half a chance and they’ll elect a democrat president-for-life and suspend the Constitution.

Perfectly stated! My compliments sir!

FRED is the only choice and somehow it will happen! I don’t know how, but with every article posted, it seems the feelings about FRED, at least here on FreeRepublic, are getting stronger, not hesitant, not ready to bail because the MSM has convinced us FRED is NOT going to make it past Iowa. HA!

I fully expect them to try to pass gun laws, taxes on bullets, etc., and laws to take away as many freedoms as they can take away with the stroke of a pen. They are going to do everything they can to keep from losing power. They will pass all kinds of election crap laws, to allow cheating, vote cheating, illegals to vote, the dead to vote, you name it. It is about total power, total control. When they have it all again, both at the same time, they are going to do whatever they can to make darn sure that they NEVER lose it again. That means they have to change lots of laws, make new laws, and get their totally slimeball liberal judges into place for life. That is part of the plan. I am sure they are making LONG lists of the things they are going to do to cull our freedoms by the minute. I expect it fully. I have no doubt that in TWO years we will not recognize our nation.

America’s been down before and yet She’s always gotten back to her feet.

I mean, think about it; if you went back in time to right after the Vietnam War and told people that in another four or five years, a man would be elected president who would kick the Soviets out of the ring, turn back the communist tide, re-energize the American spirit, fix the economy, and perform all the other miracles that Ronald Reagan brought about, do you think anyone would believe you? Heck, I bet even back then, the RATs felt they had America in the bag and nothing was ever going to get them out of power. Well, history has shown just how wrong they were.

We can’t lose hope and we can’t give up the fight. That’s what the RATs are hoping for; for all we know, everything you’ve read and heard is just a lot of hot air, nothing but a big gamble that’s riding on conservatives giving up...and we can’t let that die roll in favor of the Dems.

During my quest to become a firefighter, I came across a man who said something that has stuck in my mind; he said “Nothing counts ‘til you have that badge...nothing!” And I believe the same thing about this election; Nothing counts until the last ballot drops into the box. Until then, America and American conservatism still has a chance.

I agree with a lot of what you said, however these are totally different times. In the 1960s, 70s, etc., we did not have the influx of illegals and such that vote now. This is what is out numbering us. The dims have added 12-20 million more voters while we cannot match that. We do things by the rule of law. They do it by breaking the law. At the end of the day, I think more people vote for “what’s in it for me”, “how much can I get out of it”, type attitudes, than vote for the good of the Republic. I love to listen to people in stores and public places talking about things like this. I hear more saying they want their piece of the pie, everyone else is getting it, yada yada, than I do hear talking about “I am voting for blank because he is BEST for the nation.” Listening to these people, it just leads me to see that people are more into it for themselves than the nation. If the nation suffers while they get theirs, then oh well. I just simply do not see us winning. We have so many wanna bees and few choices. Thompson maybe, Hunter cannot get recognition. No the MSM gives the air time to those they want out front knowing their socialist pals can be the Hulkster or Rudi. Like you, I hope we can get people out there to vote for what is right, but I do not feel that it is going to happen.

I wouldn’t mind the give and take with the Marxists wining a few and us winning a few if any of the Pubbies had the stones not only to not enact new statist laws and giveaways but to roll back some of the stuff passed by the preceding batch of Marxists.

The Democrats never seem to be content to hold on to what they have, and even negotiate how to give up a little while minimizing the damage done. They’re not shy about their ambition to repeal the Bush tax cuts, miniscule as they were. They’re not hesitant to actually try to move the ball.

Why do we have to be that way? Any movement is always in their favor.

Do Iowa republicans realize the rest of us are baffled by their candidate preferences thus far.

I’m two seconds away from comparing them to the O.J. Jury and I’d like to run a commercial in Iowa to that effect.

It would kill Fred, but someone should let them know they have intellectual toilet paper stuck to their shoe.

You mean the fact that many voters are about as dumb as a box of horsesh*t?

I have lived under European socialism. You are correct. It is time now for Americans who understand American Federalism to EXPLAIN it to the many Americans who went to public school and do not have a clue.

Because the first primaries come so quickly after the Iowa cauci, it is important for Fred Thompson to have momentum.

Any American who is in command of a huge bully pulpit between now and Thursday and understands the effect his contribution could have on this momentous choice should put it to use.

It's as essential to our conservative cause as is raising a rifle on the front lines.

I do wish there were a way to tell The Mitt and Huck voters in Iowa that they are taking huge risks with Slick and Trick. There is just not the risk involved, casting a vote for Fred.
