This just ran across the ESPN News scroll...
"A source close to a former Yankees strength trainer tells ESPN The Magazine's Shawn Assael that the trainer told Mitchell investigators he supplied Roger Clemens with steroids; information supplied by this trainer is in the Mitchell report. According to one industry official who spoke to [the] Bergen Record, 'several' prominent Yankees will be named in the Mitchell report."

I hope this is wrong. Say it ain’t so Roger, say it ain’t so.
He was the first person who came to mind. And i’m a fan.
I hope it's not true, too---Clemens was an awesome pitcher when he wore a Red Sox uniform (my team). However, his resurgence in Toronto after a few mediocre seasons in Boston, plus his work in New York and Houston, has to make you ponder . . .
If Clemens is on the list, his isn't going to be the only big name on it, that's for sure.
His longevity, plus, his resurgence in Toronto, makes you think.
What does it matter? He has his millions. He will still get in the hall of fame. He is still a HERO to those who are his fans. He will deny, deny, deny. We will never know the truth. Never. He will not admit it. He will certainly deny it.
Kenny Rogers. Pitches for the Tigers, I believe. Has a history of violent outbursts, especially toward the media....
Hmmmm....
When it comes down to it, it really doesn't matter, except that it's going to tarnish his reputation.
Clemens’ exercise program is his pride along with his wins and strikeouts. His extensive exercise routine, at his age, should have been enough to have kept his muscles healthy and strong. If this report is true he’d be much of the story, so his reaction to it will be one of those moments which will be remembered in baseball history.
Wehn I heard that pitchers were strongly represented and included Cy Young winners, Roger was the first that popped into my mind too.
I really didn’t want to, and I’m a Sox fan. Regardless, I was really hoping he wasn’t caught up in this.
Show me another guy who’s fastball got faster after they turned 40. Clemens has been one of the obvious ones, but he gives better interview than the others so nobody comments... well nobody except the sports reporter I stole the first sentence from.
Talk about railroads... Libs should be wailing about the total lack of due process.
It was noted today that libs are screaming about missing tapes but are very comfortable with Sandy Burglar stealing classified documents. Also, where the hell are Hillary’s records from the whitehouse?
I am shocked. /sarc
But, how and why is Mitchell allowed to publicly come out and accuse, and maybe smear people?
Shouldn't’t there be some kind of legal proceeding or something, lol.
I don’t get it.
Thanks!
I wonder if anyone on the current roster is going to get popped for 'roids. But I can't think of any musclebound guys on the current team---the biggest guy, Papi, doesn't have a 'roid body.
Would you like to wager on what his reaction will be?? Oh, he will explode. Denying he ever took anything. So, what his reaction is already known.
What a shocker. Fat Boy Clemens was doing the beans? I am shocked, shocked I tells ya!
Next thing you know it will be Jason Giambi and Barry Bonds doing steroids.
(Sarcasm lamp is lit)
Rogers name has always been whispered.
Actually, Roger was a .500 pitcher with the Sox. Always late for camp and always overweight.
I am a Sox fan. I will say that I also think that Nomar is on that list as well.
I've heard the report is going to have tons of evidence included in it---canceled checks, that sort of thing.
