Thanks for a good laugh. Wow, what a stretch. I don’t much like Huckabee but what on earth is this article about? How could anyone fake something like that?
Well, glad to keep you amused, SD. This is an investigation of Huckabee's claim that he lost weight "the old fashioned way", a feat he has used to sell books, set policy, and provide a personal accomplishment for his Presidential resume. If Huckabee were to become the GOP nominee, a disclosure that he had been basically a fraud in regards his weight loss would be detrimental to GOP prospects. This is something, therefore, that should be aired before the nomination is secured.
I first posted this thread, which remains in chat, and thus never received the attention of my blog article, which has been discussed and linked at scores of blogs, including Slate, and NRO .
The MSM hasn't covered this, which might possibly be because they do not want to interfere with the GOP nominating the Democrat's Dream. If this is the case, we could expect the MSM to aggressively pursue it upon Huckabee securing the nomination.
NRO contacted the Huckabee campaign, which issued a denial that he had bariatric surgery. However, Huckabee has appeared to stretch the truth when convenient, of which this may be another instance.
Huckabee could put this matter to immediate and definitive rest at any time in 30 minutes by requesting a copy of a radiologist's report of a CT scan he likely had in 2005 be faxed to a news outlet. Huckabee needs to be requested to do this by the conservative press as the MSM is going to sit on its hands regarding Huckabee disclosures until such becomes helpful to the Democrats.
