Still, some may doubt that Huckabee could have had surgery without the news getting "out." If unsourced rumors are the criterion, it is "out." There is no particular shortage of usually anonymous internet posts and blogs that purport in Arkansas it is generally known Huckabee had gastric bypass surgery, or that it is known at which hospital or by which surgeon it was performed. Examples of these posts may be seen here, here, here, and here.
If Huckabee himself kept his surgery secret, a substantiated disclosure would require a health care professional to identify him or herself while violating both medical ethics and Federal laws. It is thus not surprising that there are no identified witnesses. Should Huckabee should become the GOP nominee, however, the entire MSM and Democrat apparatus will available to reward and protect anyone who steps forward.
That was a quote from Plutarch’s article.
All else being equal, a repair of a post bariatric incisional hernia is thus 2,500 times more likely than a nonbariatric Spigelian hernia.
The particulars of Huckabee's operation provide further bariatric surgery connections. The Baptist Health Hospital at which the Spigelian hernia repair was performed is Arkansas only Bariatric Center of Excellence, and was performed by a surgeon whose partner is a leading Arkansas bariatric surgeon.

1. Is that flat tax or fair tax? The flat tax was Forbes' signature issue, and he went nowhere.
2. If you are talking fair tax, you need to keep in mind that relying on polls and market research can be dicey, even today when we have better research tools than ever. Poll after poll last year and early this year showed a clear majority of americans in favor of "comprehensive immigration reform" or "a path to citizenship." Well, we all saw what happened with that stuff.
3. Do you really think swing voters are thinking "It'll be great to put a new tax in place while leaving Congress able to bring back income tax, and we can change the IRS into the Center for Investigating Single Moms and Retirees" or are they thinking "No IRS and no income tax sounds like a good idea"? Wisconsin polls show that the voters support a state-run universal health care plan, but the number drops like a rock in water as soon as you share just a few details of the actual operating proposals, and a single-payer plan that actually passed the state Senate died a slow death from constituent phone calls and a gubernatorial veto threat.
Show me that we have a defense against the potential talking points (and a way to get this passed in a Constitutional amendment) and I'll entertain the idea of the Fair Tax. But I won't ever entertain the idea of voting for Huckabee. He is a populist liberal, and I think we can do a lot better with Hunter, Thompson or even Romney.
Thanks!
If we don’t speak up for whatever rights we have left, the elected public serpents will just assume we don’t want the rights and the responsibility.
I will never ever vote for a smoker banning nanny state politician. Ever. I don’t care if he is running against Idi Amin.
I’m in total agreement with both your points!!!

Bumping this little gem to the top again.
BTTT.
Here it is.
I read the article with all the charts and do notice the difference in looks between my friend and Huckabee. She looks healthy and has good muscle tone. From those pictures, I would judge that he does not.
Plutarch’s article here definitely has some food for thought.
For a good source on all of the varied concerns about Huckabee’s legitimacy, go to
http://www.realmikehuckabee.blogspot.com/
Plutarch makes a strong case that Huck’s weight loss closely resembles that of someone who has had bariatric surgery. Huck denies such. Here’s a thread for you to read more on this controversy.
Here’s the thread. Check it out.
thanks...
You are most welcome.
Have a safe New Year’s Eve, FRiend.
And a blessed 2008.
BIG bump!
