Died after only 6 years? I have two TVs (one 27" and one 20") from the mid-80s that still work perfectly. They sure don't make 'em like they used to.
But I also have a new(ish) Sony LCD 27" that gets the job done. ...so far.

I know; those tv’s had quality. I can’t believe I paid a good price only to see it bite the dust six years later. What happened to quality. I am not going to pay a lot for this one. I have Hitachi’s are good and Zenith is; but what’s the difference between LCD and Plasma. They both sound like blood is involved.

Have a ‘77 floor model zenith tv, late 80s zenith portable tv and my Sears 60” screen tv from ‘97. All are operating just fine.
