I saw an article last year about the most overrated NFL teams of all time, and that 1972 Miami team was at the top of the list -- which is pretty amazing when you consider they went 17-0.

I had no idea how average that team actually was. What I found most amazing (and pretty strong evidence that they were a very overrated team) was that they were undefeated through the regular season and through two playoff games, yet they were UNDERDOGS in that Super Bowl game against the Redskins!

They lucked into a soft schedule, no denying that aspect. And yep, I remember the Skins being favored.

Even with Garo’s hilariously funny pass attempt, it was the single most boring Super Bowl of all time.

That said....the fact they beat every team that took the field against them remains one of the most impressive feats in sports.

Just my opinion.
