"....Jackson DID leave out what is IMHO the most important part of the story... The Scourging of the Shire...." Fully agree. Was just thinking about that a few days ago. There were three or four scenes that could have been cut and replaced with that without losing anything of importance.

'I didn’t even get to your reply before I posted my response to the same post calling Patch Adams the worst movie ever made, see my prior post about “Dr T”' Back in '77 I had a serious crush (well more like a HOWLING LUST) for Farrah Fawcett. When I saw she was in this move I had to see it. (She still looks good to me) Now to give you an idea how bad this movie is, it had Farrah in it Naked and not a little bit naked either!
Still can't bring myself to ever watch that movie again.
The gods are indeed cruel sometimes.
