Good morning, IG. I know what you mean about thirsty Wave petunias....they're even thirstier if they're planted in hanging baskets....might as well plant cacti instead.

Sure hope you get that promised rain tomorrow.

Yes the wedding was nice. Given my serious personality quirk, I am always most interested in the flowers. Somebody else can focus on the dresses and the food. For me it’s the flowers.

The pew bows had real flowers on them(which I actually thought was unnecessary, but that’s just me).

The flowers used were Belles of Ireland, Oriental Lilies and pink Daisy. The table arrangements were the most interesting. The vases were nearly 3 ft tall, wide at the base for stability, narrowing quickly and then more than 2 ft of skinny to form the neck of the vase. The same Belles of Ireland, Oriental Lily and Pink Daisy were used in the table arrangements.

Most interesting was that apparently the flowers were taking up so much water that the Belles of Ireland ran out of water in some of the vases and so they drooped in sort of an arching manor. I thought it was quite unique and interesting, until I saw other arrangements with enough water in the vases and then realized the Belles of Ireland were not intended to droop. LOL Either way they looked really good. Quite different, and worthy of at least of at least a half hour of conversation with table partners we didn’t know previously.

(I’d have to say, the men’s eyes were glazing over before we completed the conversation)

Good morning!

I have a serious case of muddle-headednes this a.m....oh well..it'll pass.

Happy Father's Day to all. We continue to plow thru outside chores, and will cook out later.

My husband and caught up with our sisters by phone yesterday, and a longtime friend who moved to IN last winter. She's happy in her new digs, near her son.

Good Morning!

Thanks Molly!

Happy Father's Day to all you wonderful fathers. (Ladies... we couldn't do it without you!)

Heard a cute story a few weeks ago:

Edna and Harold were a retired couple that lived in their neighborhood for years. All of a sudden a young couple bought a house a few blocks down from where they lived. Edna kept watch over them for a few weeks. One day Harold came home from work and Edna said to him, "Do you know that young couple that moved in a few weeks ago?"

"Yes." said Harold.

Edna responded, "Did you know that when that young man goes to work every morning he gives his wife a kiss goodbye." "And when he comes home in the evening, he brings her a dozen roses, and gives her another kiss hello!" "How come you never do that?!"

Harold responded, "But Edna... I don't even know her name!"

Thanks Lysie!

Toby... take care my friend. You are an inspiration here to a lot of us.

Even though my father passed away years ago, I miss him on this day. But when I think of all that I am because of him, and of course our dear Lord, I feel more blessed than I deserve.

You sir are a great blessing to many of us here. Always know that!
