Mary Winkler guilty of voluntary manslaughter in the March 2006 killing of her minister husband, Matthew. Judge gives her only 60 days in mental hospital............................
This is more wrong than OJ.
She literally got away with murder.
.....wow.....Paris Hilton’s original sentance was 45 days in jail......
With any luck maybe she’ll marry the judge.
Well, isn’t that special.
Must be the law in France.
Never again will I accuse a man of hyperbole when he says American courts devalue male lives.
This is as bad as the days when men could kill wives if they claimed they caught them cheating.
from what I understand, it’s time in a mental hospital followed by 3 years in the hoosgow...
Now I see Paris’ problem. She didn’t kill anyone.
They think they can fix her in 60 days so her ugly never comes out again? A wee bit optimistic, I’d say...
WRONG
America’s justice system’s answer to islamic justice system.
Is this the one that shot her sleeping husband in the back because he was mentally abusive according to her? If so, 60 days in the loony bin is outragous.
Women could do the same......My step-father killed his first wife and her lover when he caught them both in bed at home, back in the 50's. IIRC, the CA law at the time said you had to kill both and had to be found "in the act". He was not charged.........
you don’t need to yell..if I’m incorrect, I stand corrected..
The judge is married, but the prosecutor is not!
Paris is now back to the full 45 days, while Mary W. gets 60 for murder.
Hopefully someone in the media will pick up on this. The Winkler family must be devastated, and rightfully so.
The three years is the technical sentence, but it’s split between incarceration and probation. In theory it’s 210 days in custody, split 60 days in the mental hospital, 150 days incarcerated. The catch is that she has already done 150 days.
So it’s really just 60 days in the looney bin.
Well, she did have to wear stripper boots! Farese is a known quanity in the area as a good lawyer. I went to school with his sister.
