You are right though that so many folks get caught up in their “living” they don’t take the time to remember those who gave so much. It is a sad commentary on our times.
I think a lot of the population spends too much time listening to cnn and the like. I’m surprised there are so many Americans who really don’t even think of Memorial Day, except it’s a “day off”. I see it in our little town. It’s sad.
