AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 2245) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | May 16, 2007 | All of Us

Posted on 05/16/2007 4:56:31 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!

Good morning!!

We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!

Japan is saying that North Korea has developed a new long-range missile capable of reaching Guam. Despite their agreement, North Korea has yet to suspend nuclear production.

Jerry Falwell passed away yesterday.

And according to the World Wide Fund for Nature (it might be hard to guess their agenda), we only have five years left to fix the planet's warming. (First solution--the WWFN should shut up thereby limiting the amount of carbon dioxide being emitted into the atmosphere.)

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

A late good morning from me.....had an early appointment.

Thanks for the start, Chairman.

Molly, thanks for the articles....I hope and pray that we find those soldiers that were kidnapped....prayers for their families too.

One of the reasons I like to check this web news site (Freerepublic)is to find out the latest news. I know this site is changing but it is still the best format for checking out the latest of what is happening, especially in Iraq. Thanks for folks like Dog, Miss Marple and Molly.

Good morning, all. Thanks, Chair.

I find myself spending much less time here since the purge. Don’t know if I’ll be able to find suitable info if FR doesn’t come back to its old self...

Love you all, though.

Molly: thanks so much for posting your links. They are always precious for me... I often get caught up in investigating the stories further, get distracted, and don’t return here.

I will miss Rev.Falwell. One of the morning show persons on the Christian radio we listen to each day has very strong connections to Falwell... and we’ve heard personal interviews and sermon snippets for years. However, as someone yesterday observed, hundreds will rise up in his place - hundreds who have been inspired by his example and taught by him. I thank God for being touched by the life of his servant.

I’m going to post a chart here - duplicating a comment I made on one of the AGW threads Molly linked - since I think it so perfectly depicts the problems that the climate alarmists models face.

One of the most effective charts I have seen recently depicting the actual DATA (I keep coming around to that) and comparing it to the “computer models” the IPCC and the alarmists so depend on to "Prove Man is Responsible for Global Warming/ Climate Change" was posted by “Climate Watcher”
http://climatewatcher.blogspot.com/

I have it below -— Briefly, one of the BEST “Models” was run for periods that we actually have decent DATA for, and the model’s expectations were compared to the actual DATA ... “Climate Watcher” did a great service with his graphical description, I think.

There is a passing similarity in some parts of the model’s predictions to the actual DATA, but anyone believing we ought to gamble on the order of 5% or more of the world’s economy based on this type of flimsy evidence “tilting at windmills” that won’t be built for many decades needs to have their head examined. SOMETHING is clearly not right with the way these models are now programmed. The fact that they only include about 15% of the Sun’s output that hits the earth as affecting temperatures, clearly to me, suggests that as highly likely be a fruitful avenue for further exploration.

“The upper left panel is from the NASA GISS model E output of temperatures from 1995 through 2006. The trends include known forcings to 2003 and follow the A1B scenario forcings after 2003.

“The upper right panel depicts observed temperatures since 1995 from the UAH MSU.
The lower right panel depicts observed temperature change from the RSS MSU record since 1995.
The lower left panel depicts temperature change in the radiosonde data (RATPAC) since 1979.”

Altitude (by pressure in millibars) is on the vertical scale.
Latitude (from equator - Arctic on the right) is on the horizontal scale.

So, to reiterate, compare the similarity (or lack thereof) of the "computer model" in the UPPER LEFT panel to actual accurate temperature DATA measured in three different ways in the other three panels. It doesn't look to me like the model fares very well when it is put to a real world test.

Good morning folks. We had quite a lot of rain in the central IL area yesterday along with bad storm, but we are OK. This area actually needed some moisture and it got it....the corn is going to simply explode now that the sun is out again :^)

Molly, following up on your U of I post....I’ll a few commencement details from Sunday.

Although I had been a bit skeptical of the commencement speaker Jawad Karim from YouTube, I have to admit to being pleasantly surprised. His address was quite good, his speaking style easy to listen to and his recap of their entreprenurial adventure and eventual incredible success was very interesting. Although I might have wished for a more seasoned commencement speaker, this guy was a whole lot better than a Dick Durbin, Obama, Moonbat Moore etc.

There was a 2007 graduate who sang a beee-uuutiful tenor solo during the glee club performance. It was a joy to listen to him.

I always knew the engineering school was excellent and extremely hard to get accepted into but I didn’t know how large it is. Wow,.... many many degrees awarded to engineering students, particularly Asians.

I liked it all, but especially liked watching the doctoral hoodings. Very nice.

Most of them looked young to me.....:^)

A GOOD CT A.M. TO YOU MOSE HONORABLE CHAIR, ALL FROM THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST, USA, BRUISED STILL BUT WILL GET BETTER, I HOPE.

FEMA offering the travel trailers for sale if you still live in one, I heard cheap, some conditions tied to it, some say going for 500 bucks each, regardless of the condition. I guess the thought never came to them to redo the inside of them and use them again. Makes too much sense I ‘spect.

Can’t believe it, Rush is back today.

Rain in the forecast today here, don’t think I am going to do all that much, maybe move a few flowers, a couple bushes, spread some ceder chips. Already lost power a couple times this morning, sure bed the storm is coming, electric company practicing I guess.

Please don’t get bored with me about Jason, this kid means so much to me, it is like the little boy Treva and I lost in the 70’s, and he is a total joy to me. Two more days and the folks come out to start the paper work on him to be here forever and when it happens you will be swamped with pictures of him, all boy, I mean ALL BOY! As I have said, next stop is a little girl. Allie is as excited as we are, sweet as can be, agrees with this 100%.

Didn’t watch much of he debate last night, when they get serious and gets to be between just a few I will watch.

Report on the little ones, eats like the big girls, eats all the time and now have started ganging up at my front door chirping wanting me to feed them and yep, they get fed.

Going to clean up the joint now, dirt seems to come from nowhere in here, leave the door open and the place gets dirty.

Have a good and happy day, a safe one and hey, by the way, thanks for being who you are, the best of friends anywhere.
Toby
