My very dear husband proposed to me in front of the Alma Mater on the U of I campus...a spot his father had also chosen.
THEN we went to the jewelry store and picked out a ring....together.. LOL. We're very practical.
It rained so the stink is gone , for now.
Good morning. Where have you been?
Good Morning!
Glad to hear you got your rain, Molly. We’ve had too much of it already.
There’s some news on missing soldiers:

Let me know if there’s any update on this news. I’m off to do the yard work. Be back later! I pray for the good news.
Thanks, v. Your AC is all installed then? Good thing before the heat of summer really arrives!
Life is too short to be serious all the time. I can hear your laughter and visualize the director's wink. I bet everyone had a great time..even the dog.
Congratulations, JT!
OH! And our accompanist was late! That gave us some nervous moments, but the first 2 pieces were a cappella, so precisely as we finished those...in he walked! Timing, perfect timing!
He hadn't been there to give us our pitches, but our director of course did that..
Just another way of keeping them on the plantation. Free everything.
Sorry for not mentioning A/C. I had to rush off to get the yard work done before it gets too hot later today. It’s very breezy today. The wind almost blew my Yankee cap off into the marshlands. It probably would have made some Yankee haters happy. :)
Our new A/C is finally installed and it’s working fine now. The contractors didn’t go home until 7:00 last night. They had a few problems to take care of before they left so everything’s OK now.
How lucky Jason is to have such a loving family want him as one of theirs. AND of course a grampa who will make sure he learns all things worthy of knowing. Wonderful news Toby.
Beanie did the same thing a couple of years ago. A pit bull, another that looked like it had boxer in it, a smaller rangy looking dog and a daschund. The pit bull was ready to fight her, just as I drove into the parking lot, the other two dogs just stood and watched, as soon as the daschund saw my car, he ran toward it, I opened the door and he tried to get in. I walked toward the dogs with an axe in my hand and they moved away and up the driveway. The daschund just stayed close to my feet, because Beanie was still brissling. That daschund didn’t want anything to do with her and wanted me to save him. I shooed him away too, poor little thing, Beanie walked him out the driveway, snarling the whole way, I stayed behind Beanie, just in case that pit bull decided to come back and give her what for. The poor daschund whimpered the whole way out the driveway. We haven’t had a stray dog wander in since.
Our cousin had peacocks, one was white, pretty bird. It would not travel with the other peacocks. It stayed with the Ostriches, the the llamas, sometimes with the horses, but not with the other peacocks. I don’t think it knew what it was. Our cousin said even as a chick, it was a loner.
Great response. mike is a loony toons. Anything to see his name in print.
According to Rush, ron paul is a 1700ish isonlationist.
