AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 2244) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | May 15, 2007 | All of Us

Posted on 05/15/2007 4:42:49 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!

Good morning!!

We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!

GOD = 5.4 x 10-44

This morning's musings go to the meaning of the universe, quite literally. The thoughts are for those who question the existence of a higher order, and whether everything can be explained, in some way, by science.

The formula above is actually something that is adapted from the equation for "Planck Time". This unit of time, only slightly larger than one-trillion, trillion, trillion, trillionth of a second, is the best that science can do with respect to the start of the universe.

Let that slowly sink in for a moment, and then ponder the possibilities.

This tiny period of time is the smallest our science can recognize, units smaller than this simply cannot be handled within the limits of either the theory of relativity or with quantum physics. Put another way, scientists do a pretty good job of getting NEAR the beginning of the universe, but they don't quite get there.

This produces, naturally, a fundamental philosophical question--how, then, can we in fact, prove that we are here? We can get very close to time zero, but not quite there, so how can we be certain that anything actually happened in that incredibly small interval of time?

Those who are accustomed to science answering all the questions merely duck this tiny amount of time, indicating that they need not explain the beginnings of an explosion to demonstrate that one actually occurred. It's not quite the same thing. A detonation actually can be explained, and we know the end products, so we can rest comfortably knowing that if we see evidence of an explosion then we can believe one actually happened and how it came about.

Planck Time, however, is troubling. If we cannot explain things down earlier than this, then how did all things come about? Theoretical physicists to the answer. Space, we are told by these individuals, is more than the four dimensions (three linear, one temporal) that we can measure. Indeed, notions of space involving 12 or more dimensions have been postulated. Also thrown out there is something called a "brane", and that inter-universal space contains several of these things.

The notion of a brane comes from something called "M-Theory" (the writer doesn't pretend to be an expert here) or "superstring theory". The theory has it that branes move about through some mechanism in inter-universal space, and when they collide the "big bang" (which has already been shown as not being definable in its very very very early existence--that Planck Time thing again!) happens.

But this just begs more questions about the beginning. What happens to the colliding brane (some theorys have it disappearing, others integrating with the target brane, etc.), does the angle of collision matter, how did these branes start to move in the first place--and most troubling, if these branes are out there, then the Big Bang is not the beginning, but some other point in time must be Time Zero, and from what did the composition of the brane emerge?

The theoretical physicists have not even started to rescue us from all this. The thing to note, however, while all these things attempt to address how the universe came into being, none of them, as yet, can explain that very earliest of beginning times.

That doesn't mean there isn't an answer.

"In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth."

Yes, purists would say this would mean the Heavens and the Earth were created simultaneously, but that's not what the sentence says, nor does it define "the beginning." It merely says the Heavens and the Earth were created in this beginning. It also doesn't say how.

One could say this all means that "reality is only advanced absurdity".

Submitted for your consideration--the Big Bang as the Creation, of everything forming the Heavens and the Earth, in that smallest of intervals. God is the explanation for Planck Time. God is the only answer that satisfactorly explains that period of time. Even if the supposition is accepted that there is such a thing as branes, then God is still needed to move them around and cause the collision that initiated the Big Bang and, ultimately, caused us to come into being.

Yes, God addresses that microscopic time, and from that nearly infinetesmal tininess, created the vast expanse that we know today as the universe.

Truly wonderous.

Celebrate.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Oh gracious, Chairman, that's an amazing opening. I'll be digesting it all day long.

I will say this after a quick reading...for some years now I've been thinking that God's time is not necessarily ours...the past, present, future....moments, days, years...however we've organized these ideas to help ourselves function, we can't assume, let alone, impose, those concepts on God's creation of Time.

Good morning. Excellent opening essay. Thank you for concentrating our minds on the wonder of the Universe and God’s hand in all we see.

FYI everyone. News from the aerospace industry:

Industry Leaders Call on Congress to Boost NASA Budget

Handy link to the letter to Senator Hutchison (.pdf): Link to letter

The signatories of this letter comprise probably 95%-99% (my wild guess) of the heads of America's total aerospace industry companies.

Dr. Sowell..It seems to be the threat to their egos that they hate. And nothing is more of a threat to their desire to run other people's lives than the free market and its defenders.

Bingo.

WOW! He there! Thanks for the heads-up, 2/3rd...

Kay Bailey Hutchison is from my small Texas hometown, btw...just s. of the NASA facility.

Her father was my parents' insurance agent. I never knew her as she's a few years older than me.

Heading out for errands...maybe hit my exercise place..

Wonderful links, Molly! I especially liked Dr. Sowell’s article, which really nailed the inexplicable hatred of the Left towards those who would use reason in debate.

Good morning to all........sun shining and blue skies here.

Wonderful start to the day, Chairman (Thank you)....I will need to think on it for awhile......I am with you Molly, on God’s time vs our time.

Saturday is our Garden Fest at the 4-H Building. Last evening a few Master Gardeners cleaned the building. I got in 3 hours of community service...I am sore this morning to prove it too.

I need to water plants heavy today.....I was hoping we would get some rain but the skies look clear, we need the rain.

But, why should we increase funding to our space program when we could be spending all of that money propping up failing socialist regimes throughout the world?

Good question, R.D. Especially giving away as much money as we can to our own democrat socialist programs to people who don’t want to work and want something for nothing..... so they’ll vote for the CRATs that gave them the money.

We had a bit of rain this morning. I got up at 4:30 and opened up the warehouse. My first customer arrived at 4:45.

The rain didn’t move in until about 5:30,, with just a misting at first and eventually a purposeful shower.

It didn’t last long, and I would expect they can return to the fields after lunch. We had less than .1 in the gauge, so once the sun comes out it will dry quickly. It is still overcast.

The corn planting is down to less than 500 A. Our middle son started drilling beans yesterday, so there’ll be a jump start on that process.

I have been busy shuttling bags of corn here and there to various customer’s fields, so they can finish up. The directions they give are sometimes lacking in accuracy.

Yesterday I was told to drive down a specific road, and “look for a Burgundy Pick up. Just ‘toss’ the corn in the back of the truck”

Well, I was 2 miles ‘off’. Fortunately, the farmer caught me before I unloaded the bags of corn into the wrong truck.

I have temporarily gone off Adkins because I simply do not have time for proper meal prep.
