Paris Hilton is devastated with a Los Angeles judge's decision to sentence her to 45 days behind bars--insisting she "doesn't deserve this."
The hotel heiress will serve just under seven weeks in a California jail cell, after she was found guilty for violating a probation order and driving with a suspended license in February.
The 26-year-old fought back tears as the sentence was handed down to her at Los Angeles County Superior Court by Judge Michael T. Sauer on Friday, but by yesterday afternoon she was back in Beverly Hills to apparently drown her sorrows with a bout of retail therapy.
Earlier that morning, Paris bemoaned her fate to waiting paparazzi outside her L.A. home, according to the New York Daily News.
She said, "I told the truth yesterday. I feel that I was treated unfairly and that the sentence is both cruel and unwanted and I don't deserve this."
Hilton is due to begin her prison stint at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Los Angeles County on June 5.

The poor dear. She’ll no doubt have a lavish party thrown for her when she gets out. So one shouldn’t shed that many tears for her.
I can’t believe this retard is 26.
C’mon, Paris. You CHOSE jail when you violated probation.
I’m trying to summon up a tear or even an iota of sympathy. It’s no use.
“cruel and unwanted”
Huh?
I’m betting $5 to any takers that she doesn’t spend a day in jail.
I guess this means she won’t be playing Mother Teresa in that bio.
Note to Paris:
Boo-fricken-hoo. I’m sure that other people in jail don’t want to be there either. And it’s not like you’re going to a REAL PRISON.
From her mother’s reported behavior in the courtroom, too bad she isn’t accompanying her.
Is she going to go to a real jail or some country club set up?
Maybe should could put on some weight and play Martha Stewart!
Obviously any jail sentence is unwanted, and obviously she meant to say unwarranted ......
Sheesh!
I’m surprised she isn’t starting a reality show about this.
This will probably kill you guys -- but Paris is going to be more popular then ever after she leaves the prison. Think Martha Steward...
“I told the truth yesterday. I feel that I was treated unfairly and that the sentence is both cruel and unwanted and I don’t deserve this.”
More likely “unwonted”.
Please don’t call Paris HIlton a retard, it’s an insult to the mentally retarded.
“Prison’s not hot!”
“...Hilton: ‘I Don’t Deserve Jail’...”
Yes you do.
