And after she shot him she unplugged the phone so he couldn’t call for help and took off with her 3 little girls taking the murder weapon with her. Why did she need the gun with her? Why not leave it there?

The most heartless conduct I've ever heard. The effort she put before she left into making sure that the dying man could not reach the phone is sickening.

He clearly brainwashed her. She is convinced that he is a GOOD person. According to Paul none of us is good. My experience of the CofC isthat they accept a works salvation beginning with water baptism. There is a distinct mentality of moral superiority among much of the leadership. This results in opressive judgement, condemnation and, ultimately, hatred of the sort she evidenced by murdering the source of her desperation.

Your views of the CoC are merely the views of any person seeking to follow God’s word.

When you attempt to teach others what they need for salvation according to the Bible - many then claim that you think your way is the only way. In reality, they are merely trying to spread God’s word, they themselves are sinners seeking salvation.

Why is it necessary for those spreading God’s word to water down His words and tell others that - “you find what you think is appropriate and do that - surely God will agree”.

No, we are told to teach. If you decide that this teaching is claiming superiority. Then it is based only on the superiority of God’s word over the words of man. Why are we to claim God’s instructions are lesser than those of man?

So, in other words - what you identify as moral superiority on the part of the leaders is merely those leaders following God’s instructions to teach others the truth as revealed in the Bible. Why would any take that as works based, obsessive judgement?

The Bible and God’s plan for your salvation are all that will get you to heaven no matter if other churches plan their instructions for salvation around what is pleasing to you.

Go to the Bible yourself and find out what Jesus told you to do. That is the very thing the Church of Christ members are trying to explain to you. You read and determine what is required. If you do it correctly and include all the instructions, you too will believe in baptism (because Jesus told us to do that), you too will see God’s plan for your salvation.

Why seek a religion that allows what you want in the beliefs? Do you really think YOU are the one giving the salvation? Were YOU God? Were YOU the one who died on the Cross for our salvation?

YOU have no ability to pick out the rules and claim those what will save you. YOU are the one who will choose to follow Jesus and follow what Jesus tells you is required.

Nothing else has the power to save you. No pope, no church leader, no doctrine - only Jesus, God and the Bible and your willingness to obey and your journey following God’s will.

May God open your eyes and let you see the truth - not the coolest modern church after your “church-shopping”. Go to the Bible to check the truth of any doctrine in churches you attend.

Once you finishing zinging off past Pluto, get your bearings and come back down to earth.
People who believe they are morally superior are in fact demonic. That clear enough for you?

Morally superior? Christians are morally superior to non-Christians?

So, you only like Christians who do nothing in their quest for their salvation? You would prefer the Christians that ignore the bible teachings and live as the unrepentent sinners do?

Give me a break.

Apparently you have decided to hate people that are merely trying to follow Jesus’ teachings and be good christians and seeking to teach others what Jesus taught.

None of us are perfect and I expect that you had a run-in with someone trying to teach you the truth from the Bible pointing out that the denomination you were involved in, erred in their teachings.

So, you go on and try to destroy those seeking to follow Jesus and his teachings. Don’t bother with what Jesus teaches - apparently you have no need of that.

But people in this world will only be saved by accepting Christ, being baptised for the remission of their past sins and following Christ through this life.

I would sure hate to see man honor his own ego and refuse to accept Jesus because he feels those following Jesus are “morally superior”. What an asinine choice - and just where does that get you after death?

Man likes to feel he has the power of his own salvation, but man never was God, was never God’s Son and did not pay the price for our sins - Jesus did.

What a choice - eternal salvation from one that loved us so much He gave His own life and was tortured and died on the cross for us, or our own petty view of how this world works and how we get eternal life.

You are lost in the clouds of your own false assumptions. I was a member of several C of C for 5 years as a missionary. Jesus said, “Do not call me Good. None of us is good except the Father.”
Paul made very clear that none of us can claim to be superior to another, especially after salvation.
We are saved as sinners. We are not made superior moral creatures by God’s grace, only saved sinners.
Is that not good enough for you? Why do you insist that you are superior? You claim that you are made a good (better, moral, whatever) person because of salvation. This is a profoundly anti Christian and demonic belief.
If you cannot get this you will never understand my concern.

I never - ever - claimed I was superior. I was just explaining to you that what you read as feeling superior is probably just zeal in teaching what God says in the Bible.

They are not claiming superiority of them - they are claiming that the message they are teaching is the truth and you interpret that as they feel superior.

So, what are they to do? Refuse to ever teach what God tells us to do? Refuse to show people what is needed for salvation? Refuse to claim what our beliefs are?

You are not realistic and you seek to mock and tear down people that are merely trying to live their lives as Christians.

I firmly believe that living a life as a Christian is far, far superior to any other life. However, that is not saying I am superior. I am only saved because Jesus died for me and I believed, was baptised and seek to follow his teachings.

You may have run across some of those that come across as superior, but that does not mean all in the CofC are that way. And, you full well know that.

Do you feel the same about all the other churches out there? Are you basing that on the statements that “we are the only ones going to heaven” that were misinterpreted in years past?

All I am saying is that you seem to have a chip on your shoulder about Church of Christ members. And I am saying Church of Christ members are people same as any other people, some with talents for preaching and teaching, many without good skills.

But, that does not change the fact that they are going to the Bible to learn what is required for salvation, what God wants in His church. Any that seek God and his will through God’s word are not erring.

So, you have no reason to chastise Church of Christ members for anything. Wish more people would bother to read the Bible to find out what Jesus said about salvation and God’s teachings. Superior? No, but God’s words are sure superior and are the source for the truth.

Your only response to my (very legitimate) concern is to make false assumptions about me.
Have you read any C of C theological literature, especially about water baptism and works salvation? I thought not.
There are many C of C bodies who fervently believe that they are the only route to heaven.
Rigid top down communications within local churches allows far too many leaders to assume a mantle of perfection. Mistrust of Christians outside the C of C club is a perrenial problem.
These are serious problems being addressed by a few C of C members and leadership. Sticking your head in the sand will not rid us of the sickness that infects far too many C of C churches.
