I have a feeling that when all is said and done, there will be no money in that estate whatsoever and that Birkhead will simply raise the child in obscurity.

Nope...not by a longshot.There's still a case in the Probate Court of either California or Texas (I'm not sure which) concerning the ownership of $500 million that belonged to the old husband that died some time back.

My understanding is that,in light of the ANS victory in the SCOTUS,she has (had) a big leg up on eventually getting the $500 million.

Having once been involved in a Probate matter involving much,*much* less than $500 million,I can pretty much guarantee you that that case won't be settled for many years.
