Good. But they should all have had background checks and I would think they should have to report any kind of criminal offenses to the Board of ED if one occurs after they are hired.

School officials say they don't know how many more people with criminal records are working around children because there is no system for checking school workers' backgrounds once they're hired. They could start by reading the local police blotter...

I've had criminal background checks before being hired when I've worked at summer camps and in schools as well. At one place, my finger prints had to be taken in police headquarters. In addition, my name was drawn at random, so I had to give a urine sample and take a breath test. (I was happy to do these things in order to reassure parents.) I don't understand what they do in NJ when they hire people.
